After Iowa, Trump Showing off Effort to Win in New Hampshire
ABC News ^ | Feb. 6, 2016 | JILL COLVIN AND JEFF HORWITZ, ASSOCIATED PRESS

"It's really about asking them whether they're going to get out and vote on Tuesday and whether they support Mr. Trump," McGough said. He said he had made 1,150 calls for Trump on Wednesday alone.

Kevin Bray, 51, another volunteer, said he had driven more than 20 hours in the rain from Nixa, Missouri, after seeing the results in Iowa.

"Iowa happened and I woke up really irritated," he said. "I said, you know, I want to make a difference." He said he arrived on Wednesday morning and told Trump's team to put him to work.

In a back room of the office, a white board displays ambitious goals for each day.

On Thursday, the team aimed to make 30,000 calls and knock on 2,500 doors. By early afternoon, campaign officials said they were partway to their goals. Their seven teams of volunteers sent to neighborhoods across the state had reported knocking on 823 doors so far.

On Friday, campaign staff hoped to boost the number to 5,000, as more than 100 new volunteers arrived from states such as New York and Pennsylvania to help. The team has run out of the 20,000 cards it printed to hand out during visits and was printing 25,000 more.

"I think look, we'll take nothing for granted," said Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, a New Hampshire resident overseeing the effort.

Due to my resume I'm afraid they want me to be in a power or managerial position but I'm going to have to pass on that ... 80 mile RT daily drive.

Ask them for a lodging stipend!

Was Jeb’s momma standing behind him when he did it?

Yes but Jeb’s momma made the trip. Trump....not so much.
Maybe Trump is a bigger wuss than Jeb. Or even Jebb’s momma.

i’ve always been a brutal realist. if Cruz had beaten a 15 point lead, i would have been excited. but he was up in some polls.

i will vote Ted by the time these stupid things get around to NY april 16.

but 20 point lead after iowa for trump is alot.

you’re right, he certainly does change.

but if it comes to the generals, i’ll get a shot of JD, pull the lever for trump, and pray

We sent a packed bus to NH, they have been there since Thursday, coming home late tonight. We are also putting together the New York team with thousands of volunteers, chairs and co chairs across the congressional districts.

Awesome!

Pray hard, friend. I don’t trust Trump to maintain his enthusiasm after the fun of campaigning is over.

Right now, I’m praying for Cruz to get the nomination.

I will bite the bullet and vote for the nominee and hope that the Trump devotees will do the same if we get the good guy.

Why do Trump supporters have to call in their helpers?

We were handling this thread just fine.

You have to be prepared for a bit of resentment, I found in Pennsylvania. We had parked in the wrong spots, and they went ballistic... Never mind that we had come to win votes for their candidate. Go easy, everyone. You will be guests in another country, practically.

Great advice. People under stress can be very self-defeating.

I saw that and it was great but CNN was there to get it out to large audiences.

I’m not saying Trump should only play to large audiences to get out there, I’m saying logistics prohibit it. If Trump planned to have one of these small events and there was any advertisement, that venue would be deluged.

Trump’s is a different campaign from others, exponentially larger than others. But media won’t recognize this, keep pounding that he’s doing it wrong not dropping into a diner.

Funny. But, I think Jeb knows he’s out of it, and I really can’t respect him bringing his Mother out if it was his idea.

But maybe it was hers. I’ve always thought Jeb was her favorite. And she is a tough old girl.

Pray Trump stay in the race.

One on one Cruz versus Rubio, the GOPe candidate,
GOPe will bury Cruz with their money and endorsements.

And if no candidate gets 60% of delegates, it goes to congress. And guess who has more friends there? Rafael or Marco?

That’s because, as Ted Cruz points out over and over, their candidate has only platitudes and a massively embarrassing record...so they resort to the dogpile.
