Saturday night at the GOP debate in New Hampshire belonged to the executives: the governors and the businessman.
Indeed, if Saturday is any indication of what kind of debater Donald Trump can be, then it's safe to say that it really was a mistake for him to skip the Fox News debate before the Iowa caucus. He may very have won it if he had shown this kind of strength and adeptness just days before Iowans went out to vote.

One thing he does that Rubio does also, is he gets this reverence in his voice, when he thinks he can milk sympathy or extra meaning in a response.
At times it’s just silly. He overdoes it for impact, and causes the listener to do a double take. It’s overkill and seems to be so fake.
What is this Fox News of which you speak? /sarc
Omg, just watched the SNL cold open. It was all Ted Cruz.... His last line.. “when you go to the polls this primary season, ask yourself. Which one of these candidates would be played by Paul Giamotti?” I’m dying here...
Nowhere more evident than in a radio spot running here where Ted says if you don't want a fighter, "I ain't your guy."
Ted saying "ain't" sounds phony.
They hardly saw him as “amazing”.....and because of this Trumps got a problem with defector ooze....That display wasn't about controlling the moment....it was seen as rude and condescending and childish by most... because it was.
Those candidates standing on the stage are running for the office of “President of the United States of America”.....the most powerful country (still) in the World, despite the fact Trump doesn't think so. They have spent a good part of their life ‘serving this country and it's people” (while Trumps spent his life playing Hollywood).... and they are therefore worthy of respect for that alone.
We may not like where some stand on the issues but they are “Our” Candidates, all of them.... Trump showing such contempt to and for them puts him at the bottom of the pecking order when he's so ill mannered and blatantly disrespectful of the very office they are running for.
Jeb does not have a strong voice delivery. He sounds like a shoe salesman. I have seen GWB speak in person and he was much more genuine, funny and likable. But tchat was back in 2001. When I still admired GWB. No more Bushes for me.
Good show? I recall Iommi was battling lymphoma. It’s great they’re still touring.
Yes, I saw it on YouTube; it was something else again.
The only place where you can see blood coming out of her whatever LOL
jebbie really IS “the stupid brother”.
I feel for ya! Internet polls all over the country never had Trump winning by so much after any debate before. A nice stiff drink is called for!
The masks have fallen, he is now exposed, and unless one is blind and deaf, due to extreme bias and hero worship, everyone can see it now.
"Our candidates", except for Trump, STINK ON ICE!
The pols are all out for themselves, only mouth words, haven't done a damned thing for this nation, and Trump has NOT "put down" the office of the presidency, which Obama has trashed, besmirched, and made irrelevant to the rest of the world.
Oh...it’s you...never mind...not tonight honey!
Dubya’s great. Absolute betrayal by the Democrats that overwhelmingly supported the ME campaigns. And the Bush Administration repeatedly warned the Democrats about the threat of mortgage insolvency. Barny Frank et al laughed it off.
Jeb has little more than his last name to throw in the ring. And as you say, no more Bushes.
He won't even take second place in N.H. !
I watched with a group of 40 people that always vote. There were about 10 democrats. They were cheering Christie beating up Rubio. I asked why. They said they thought only Rubio could beat Hillary.
I went to the Republican/Conservative side.I asked what they thought. At least 10 said they would never vote for Trump, Jeb, or Kasich. They thought Jeb was only still in it because of his last name, Kasich was in the wrong party, and that Trump was to juvenile in his behavior overall. As one person put it, “I worked for the Reagan campaign and those that compare Trump to Reagan need to go back and watch some video. They say Trump is like Reagan because he has an outsiders edge, But Ronald Reagan would have never put up with this unprofessional behavior.” My concern stems from the fact that we cannot let the Clinton's back into the White house. And Christie? He is not going to win. He needed to aim his big mouth at the democrats.
I hope you are not thinking the audience reflects how America saw Trump’s performance. If you think the shsss moment was rude and childish, I thought it put Bush in his place for rudely talking over him. It was Trump’s turn to speak and as an adult, he needed to keep quiet. Those are the rules.
By the way, what is “defector ooze?”
