“”that Obama is either incompetent or maybe something else.””

I guess we Georgians are the only ones left on the thread..others watching football?

If Trump thinks it’s “something else”, there’s no reason he can’t just blurt it out. Why would he hold back? For sure he’s not bashful!

If Trump thinks it's "something else", there's no reason he can't just blurt it out. Why would he hold back?

It's a good question.   And I think this is a wise strategy on Trump's part.   He's thinking about the Democrat voters he needs to pull in.   It's easier to say that Obama is "incompetent" because if you look at the country, a lot of things are not working out well, so people will tend to believe that's the cause of the problem.   So it gives your opponent the benefit of doubt about their true motives.

Rubio is in a different situation.   He needs to take a risk because he's behind the eight-ball.   But if he does happen to win a primary or two, he'll probably back off his hardline comments.

Obama voters are going to push back strong if a Republican says Obama is trying to bring the "evil colonial imperialist" America down.   Many conservatives believe that's what's happening, but voters who are vested in Obama will have a hard time swallowing that.

So where are we right now?   We're at a tipping point.   Maybe 40% of the voters are bought and paid for with all the free handouts.   The Kardashian/ObamaPhone alliance will vote for whoever has a "D" next to their name because it means, "I get more free stuff without working for it."

Neither Trump -- nor any Republican -- will get those votes.   So Trump is hoping to attract the working middle class Democrat and Independent voters in key states like Ohio, Penn, Florida, and Michigan.   That's where the election will be won or lost.

Trump aims to win over those voters, so that means you back off a bit from saying what I said in this column.
