GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson suggested that the controversy over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)'s campaign action during the Iowa caucus might be on the minds of voters ahead of the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.
"I suspect it may well," Carson told Breitbart News. "We were in church this morning and the minister sort of alluded to it, talking about Christian values and politics."
Just ahead of the vote, the Cruz campaign sent out notes and voicemails to precinct captains telling them to tell Carson voters that he would be suspending his campaign and to support Cruz instead. The Cruz campaign has said it only passed along a news report from CNN.
"I've said all along that the evidence is pretty clear and it should be very easy for people to make a judgment on this," Carson said in response to a CNN statement, which it issued Saturday night that said Cruz "knowingly misstated" CNN's pre-caucus report.
"The only issue is, is this acceptable behavior to voters? Obviously, it's acceptable behavior to Washington politicians," he said.
The Washington Post reported Cruz approached Carson during a commercial break during the debate Saturday night and requested a private meeting.
Carson told Breitbart News that he hopes Cruz dismisses the staff that was involved in spreading the false report.
"I would like to see something happen that would more or less ensure that this kind of thing does not continue to happen," Carson explained when asked what he would like to see come out of a private meeting with Cruz.
"I kind of look at it when you find a problem, you fix it, you just don't sort of sweep it under the rug," Carson explained.

Cruz is a worm and a fraud for many reasons. When given the opportunity to address Trump directly over his assertion that Trump did not have the temperament to be CinC, Ted chose to cut and run and babble some nonsense about it being up to the voters to decide and that anyone would be better than Clinton. You want to level a statement about someone, you own it and defend it, not run like a little wimp. Cruz is just another politician that will say and do anything to get elected. There is no ambiguity with Trump. He says what he says and doesn’t back down. I liked Cruz at the beginning of this process but I’m tired of his act.
Right ON! TRUMP does use a baseball bat, but it is always noisy, up front and in public.
As opposed to ballot theft, based on the darker arts of a dirty tricks misinformation maneuver.

THANKFULLY, it TRUMP has the gravitas to point the media into shining a light on Cruz shenanigans.
Cruz can now afford no more tricky dickie game plays, while prayerfully shouting Hallelujah, without paying the ultimate price— campaign implosion.
It's Iowa's crazy caucus circus system that gave Cruz's campaign the opportunity to do what they did.
If Cruzio doesn’t have enough integrity to pull out of the race because of his dirty trick played on Carson, he at least should fire his entire staff. ....(crickets)

Cruz is not going to take the hit on Carson. He doesn’t think he has to. I personally think it’s a miscalculation. I’ve seen lots of people who are between Trump and Cruz, this may sway some of them.
But what would this guy do as President? Not take the hit when his Administration screw up? Refuse to find those responsible and act?

The is ZERO evidence that this pathetic candidate Carson lost a single vote in Iowa. The dude was polling 7 or 8 percent and got 9 percent. As Bill Clinton said about the Obama campaign eight years ago, ‘This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.’
Pathetic Carson? Is he the candidate stuffing his pocket with hundreds of thousands of dollars of anonymous money laundered donations? No. The person doing that would be the only Principled Conservative (TM) in the race. Really, these attacks on Carson by residents of Cruztown are pathetic. It’s should be clear to all by now that Cruznadian has no clothes.

I think the problem was an incomplete tweet. I mean 148 characters, right? Is it possible that tweeter person was not finished with the full Carson statement?
Wrong. There were 3 CNN tweets within minutes and Team Cruz only choose to run with the first one. And they were the only campaign to blast out an email to 1,500 precincts about it.
I do agree. It needs to bleed into South Carolina, where Cruz thinks he has a lock with Evangelicals.
Cruz picked the wrong candidate to pull a ballot kill shot.
Evangelicals held great affection for Carson.
Carson was already wounded in Iowa, which makes Cruz look worse— like a vulture picking the bones of a carcass.
Carson is now moving on fumes, just to show respect for the boy who died in Iowa campaigning for him, and for all those who helped him hold his polls together in Iowa, but fell for the Cruz misinformation ballot theft. So depressing for Carson supporters.
Ben Carson is a fraud.
I would love for someone to hit him during a debate with the fact he leased a campaign bus and had it drive around empty in primary states when he wasn’t within 500 miles of the bus.
A few months ago, when Donald Trump referred to Carson as pathological and compared him to a child molester, Carson had nothing to say. He was completely impotent. And in fact, his numbers tanked shortly thereafter
