Obamas bemoan White House wi-fi

46 minutes ago From the section US & Canada

The Obamas have lamented patchy wi-fi coverage in the White House during a TV interview.

There are a "lot of dead spots", President Obama revealed during a pre-Super Bowl interview on CBS.

"It can be a little sketchy," added Michelle. The couple's daughters, Sasha and Malia, were "just irritated by it", she said.

Mr Obama traditionally does an interview ahead of the biggest American Football game of the year.

The president added he had been trying to improve the wi-fi "for the next group of folks".

Top Executive in the nation given tax payer access to tremendous resources...unable to arrange for good wifi, and complains about it rather than seeing its fixed.

As an ‘ISIL’ sympathiser he needs WiFi so he can go to their facebook page and profess his allegiance.

It is patchy because they don’t want someone stealing radio wave signals from the outside. I really feel bad for Obama that he has to use an Ethernet cable to access his NCAA bracket.

Idiot. Most of the rooms are shielded rooms for security reasons.

Actually, this is not a bad way to secure an unclassified WiFi network. By putting the WiFi inside a faraday cage he could get good reception inside the building with little leakage outside. Of course this would only work well for a commercial network that his daughters use for schoolwork and that kind of stuff.

Insul-Fab of Texas sells 80db metalized film with plastic lamination on one side for strength. You wallpaper with it or put it behind your drywall to metal studs with each edge overlapping on the conductive side. Use RF attenuating vents on the air ducts and use glass laminated with silver plated, stainless steel, carbon black, from Don-Tech. A metal door with rfi gasketing around the jam seal and you have an 80db shielded room as long as you use an isolation transformer.

He should ask Hillary to set up a server for him.
And bring her cloth to wipe away his tears.

Five'll get you ten that's exactly what they're thinking.

What a foolproof way of getting classified information into the hands of our enemies.
These scum sucking dirt bags, can figure out numerous ways to screw the country.

With this guy, anything is on the table.

I hate looking at it that way, but he is so problematic.

I guess I am showing that I am 100%, totally, completely, utterly cynical of these ass hats. I believe everything he thinks, says, or does, is designed to destroy the country.

Well I sure hope it’s good enough on all the planes, and AF1, for all the vacation travel they use the planes for. I would hate for the royal turds to be without their Beyonce twerking videos.

Big guy is still irritated about the delay of the getting the new querty muslim keyboards.

I can assure you that Trump will soon have to oversee a heck of a lot more than just the WiFi when preparing the white house for folks like us.

If the President needs tech help with the WH's WiFi, he should obviously turn to the Democrat front-runner's choice of IT expert, Bryan Pagliano.

The President is obviously aware of his former Secretary of State's notable flair for IT. After all, didn't he send her at least 18 emails at her better-than-government issue email server?

And Bryan's a stand-up guy! That means something in Chi-Town!

Can you imagine the headaches for the guy whose job it is to secure the White House WiFi? How long does it take to guess that the President’s password is CHOOM123?
