nymag.com ^ | February 7

Appearing on ABC's This Week on Sunday morning, Marco Rubio insisted that his bizarre and robotic repetition of anti-Obama talking points at Saturday night's Republican debate was a good move, and repeated a variation of the talking point again

I’m not a Rubio guy and I didn’t watch the debate.

What I’ve heard is that Marco said that obama knows EXACTLY what he’s doing and not incompetent - regarding the damage done.

Again, I’m not a Rubio guy but if that’s what he said - he’s RIGHT. And EVERY Republican candidate SHOULD be repeating this over and over and over and over...

Talk about getting “sliced & diced”......surprised Rubio didn’t go after Christy for “bridgegate” and hugging his buddy Obama.

My favored candidate repeats himself all the time. They all do. They repeat the part of the message that they really want to get across, perhaps the one that's unique to the candidate. Rubio repeats that Obama knows exactly what he's doing, and nobody else is saying it. That's a good thing, that someone is trying to get that message across.

Maybe those wannabees that are criticizing Rubio for this are okay with Obama intentionally destroying the US.

Just tryin' to apply some logic here. <^..^>

I was shocked that he didn't especailly bridgegate. It would have been hilarious if Rubio would have said if we picked Christie for nomination, we'd have both Hillary and Christie who would both be indited. Rubio's problem is not ready. Maybe in 8 years. He should have run for Governor against Scott. in Florida during the primary. Nobody was particularly happy with Scott. Rubio is going to the top spot without doing his time and yes I know that experience in government is negative, but who knows how voters will feel about experience in 8 years.

Of course Trump should have said that Bush used eminent domain to make the Rangers baseball stadium.

I’m not a Rubio guy either but I agree that Obama is purposefully taking this country down. It’s not mutually exclusive with the fact that’s he’s incompetent.

The point here is that Marco Robo can’t think on his feet and do that, instead he reverted to the canned spiel. Of course Hannity has become wealthy doing the same thing for several hours each day.

The essence of what Rubio said was correct. However, by repeating it several times, with the same wording, rather than extemporaneously expounding and explaining, Marco weakened the argument, and made it ridiculous.

All people could hear was the seemingly mindless repetition of a platitude, rather than what he was actually saying.

I am not a Rubio fan, having been totally betrayed by him in Florida, but I have to admit that I agree with him that Obama knows EXACTLY what he is doing.

(LOVE the robot costumes, BTW! :-) )

Of course anyone paying attention knows Obama is fully aware of what he is doing and his intent is traitorous.

That said, watch a replay of the debate and you will see how strange and awkward his repetitions were.

I agree. I was out so I couldn’t watch the debate, but all I’ve heard was discussion of his repeating himself - no discussion of what he actually said, which was absolutely the truth. Obama not only did all of this intentionally, he’s trying to make it almost impossible to undo. There needs to be more discussion of that point.

‘I’m not a Rubio fan’ is being repeated a lot too and we have good reasons to say it.

I'm thinking you did not see the debate

I did see the debate. And I thought Trump looked presidential, part of it because the wannabees mostly decided that attacking Trump is a losing strategy. I was impressed by Christie's passion. But does that mean that Rubio's explanation isn't valid? No, not at all. He has an important point to make and no one else is, so he repeats it. Didn't you hear his explanation?

for 8 years we had to defend Bush against critics where he had little skill for thinking on his feet and defending himself. We were left out on a limb. I’m very tired of that. Cruz can actually respond quickly and engage without the base picking up all of the slack.
