“The failure occurs because we have no wall, we have poor enforcement of laws, and there is no national ID card stipulating legal status like they have in many countries.”

That’s part of it. The other part of that equation is the practice of business owners opting for cheap, illegal labor.

While the CEO would not be expected to micromanage every aspect of hiring and labor usage, he or she however establishes the framework under which the project will be complete.

Sorry, but if Trump truly feels as stated about the presence of illegals in this country, he would’ve approached those subcontracted firms and told them in no uncertain terms that he will not tolerate violations of immigration law on building projects, especially those bearing his name. He’s Trump.. the great negotiator, right? Once this issue got into the open he should’ve dealt with it accordingly. Failing that, he owns some responsibility.

Hahahaha the main reason Trump is 10,000 times richer than you and me combined, is exactly because he avoids micro-managing his business. He got there by looking at the BIG picture. As president, he will be responsible to enforce laws and deport illegals. As a mere businessman his job is to prosper within framework of existing laws.

You completely missed my point.. I said it’s not expected for a CEO to micromanage... BUT.. he or she sets the terms for the transaction. Obviously, requiring the subs to abide by existing immigration law wasn’t on his radar screen, despite what he says publicly.

I’m not saying he’s evil.. he was just wrong. It’s OK for you to admit he was wrong as well.

Every business contract AUTOMATICALLY presumes to follow every exiting law. The contract does NOT need to spell out every one of the thousands of existing laws in the contract text. Illegals by law are just that, illegal. No business contracts need to spell out “illegals not to be hired”, “most wanted on FBI list not to be hired”, “fugitives from warrants for arrest not to be hired”, etc .

“Every business contract AUTOMATICALLY presumes to follow every exiting law.”

Thank you.. why, yes it is. However, special emphasis can be given to specific issues. And when Trump found out one of his signature campaign philosophies was being violated, he did what...? He did nothing.

Like I said.. it’s OK to admit he was wrong.
