None of this criticism from the Cruzer's would be happening if Rush just came out and endorsed Cruz. He has done about everything but write the endorsement

Um, Rush did just outright endorse Cruz, said

IF YOU'RE A REAL CONSERVATIVE YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, CRUZ IS YOUR ONLY CHOICE.

I go to DU sometimes to see things from another perspective. After living with a pathological liar I realized that there is usually a nugget, just a nugget, of truth whatever the liar is saying. So I am not giving up listening to all and doing my own research. I do spend way too much time on this crud though.

I was more at peace when I ignored politics but that was back in the 70’s and 80’s and didn’t realize what had happened to my nation because of Roe. I graduated the same year.

As an artist, critique by peers is the most important thing for me to improve. I can disregard it or filter it, but I should listen and make up my own mind.

Rush is worried about his brand.

The fact that we’ve come to using DNA to “prove” that a baby is alive, and not just a “lump of cells”, as the wacko feminazis claim, speaks volumes about where we’re at, as a society. We’re in the dumper, circling the bowl.

Wow, now Rush criticizing Trump supporters.

said that why conservatives get upset when OTHERS don’t back a conservative.

I should turn him off but I’m fascinated by the similarities between this new Rush and the mainstream media, no difference these days.

We need a break from the campaign battle and this stuff needs to posted as threads in their own right. Have they been?

You’re skewing those polls. Rush said today Trump and Cruz were even with conservatives and Cruz was far ahead with “very conservatives.” I heard the same thing after Iowa.

Cruz is simply not as well-known as Trump. He doesn’t have the celebrity name recognition. I just heard a Republican co-worker talking yesterday about the primary and he said he didn’t know anything about Ted Cruz. Obviously not someone who follows the news closely, but he will probably be voting in the primary. When you don’t know who Cruz is and the pollster calls you, Trump is the name you’re likely to pick out of the air. There are plenty of “low-info” Republican primary voters. These are the same ones Romney got to vote for him by bashing everyone else as unelectable and so forth. Trump has simply trumped the GOP’s usual advertising because of his huge celebrity name recognition. It’s not substance, it’s not quality, it’s celebrity.

Almost as fascinating as the similarities between Trump and RINO Romney.

list any Cruz achievement -

Did he created job?
Did he created balance sheet?

Don’t list his insane panhandling scheme.

Trump has spent billions on developing his “brand”; Cruz not so much.

I no longer listen, but as I read through the comments... What is missing from Rush's high praise of the ‘conservative’ Cruz?

I have yet to read Rush praising Cruz as he use to. Cruz follows the ‘original intent’ of the Constitution. Rush cannot say that, because, Cruz's claim to fame, in following the original intent of the Constitution is a LIE. Cruz must exempt himself from the original intent in order to hold the office of president. There is none that can make Cruz a ‘natural born’ US citizen..

Conservation has become what anyone decides it means... There is NO truth in advertising... I am tired of getting burned by the corrupt political establishment.. Conservatives never win by trying to out liberal the liberals and call it conservative.

Hillry Clinton birth the birther movement against Obama... if she survives she is going to take Cruz out if he wins the nomination... I am NOT that kind of risk taker..

No, it’s Obama who literally gave us Ted Cruz and the Tea Party. Conservatives formed a movement to take on the liberal elite but have now decided to abandon it in favor of a “malleable” billionaire celebrity donor who dumped money into all of the politicians who’ve been screwing us for years. I’m done with people who have fallen for this unelectable, untrustworthy phony candidate instead of sticking with the base and fighting for their movement.

If running a business was a qualification for President, why don’t you nominate Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, John Corzine, George Soros, Steven Spielberg, etc.? They’re all as brilliant at making money as Trump.

Understanding business has little to do with understanding government or politics. They don’t operate by the same rules. And if being a businessman DID help you “get things done,” then the worst possible thing would be to elect a businessman who doesn’t share my values, and is going to successfully put in place policies which go against everything I believe in.

Also, if businessmen are so great, WHY are you Trumpsters so against big donors? All those big donors are businessmen, just like Trump. So if you like what Trump’s selling, why are you automatically against all the other donors?

I am a conservative and I support Trump. Is he as conservative as Cruz? No. The difference is I personally believe Trump is the best chance for taking the Presidency and helping turn the country around. I do not believe Cruz is strong enough to stand in the way of the GOPe and the Uniparty. Trump is more socially liberal than I but he is very much a conservative on my key issues. He is strong on economic and national security. He will secure our borders better than any other candidate. He has the knowledge to restart our economy in something other than name. The rest of the remaining candidates (except Carson) are nothing really but lawyers and politicians. They do not get creating jobs and wealth.

Lie food, clothing and shelter the above represent my basic needs for a President. We can deal with the social issues if we have those items addressed.

I think what a lot of people, like me, who have been conservatives all our lives, are asking is “What has conservatism done for me lately?” So-called conservatives have gone along with both Bush and Obama to raise the debt to staggering levels; they half-assed fought a war while apologizing to Muslims; they did nothing to stop Obama for four years.

Someone else said when Rubio or Cruz said they did things to stop Obama, the question needs to be asked, “But did you win?” We need to win. I don’t care if Trump isn’t as “conservative” as Cruz-—I guess we won’t know that until he actually wins, though. Because with Cruz we have no way of proving that he, like all the other GOP guys, can actually DO anything. I’m willing to try a businessman and forget ideology for a minute.
