I think his criticism is spot-on.

Sen. John Cornyn wants to release hardcore criminals back on the streets.

The GOP establishment now wants to give Obama a parting present.

What has the GOP done to stop him? I didn’t betray my party or abandon my conservative views. The GOP betrayed me.

Many ran and won as 'conservatives'.

Very few followed through once elected. Trump is absolutely right once again.

The conservative and republican labels don't mean much to those that proudly run under that banner. This is exactly why Cruz is my #2. He talks a good game but I have little faith he would follow through once elected. He's beholden to too many people on Wall Street and such to do what's right for the voters.

I can only assume that you have reading comprehension problems if you think this is any kind of an indictment of Trump.

Better to rebrand Conservatism as Radicalism. Young people and many women instinctively hate the word, and these are people who operate on instinct alone.

Trump has a point. Cruz abandoned Corton on he Corker vote and ushered Obama’s unfettered treaty making. If Trump becomes king it is thanks to Cruz types who reneged. Cotton made them all look like traitors and they about lynched Cotton.

“My Imperial President TRUMPS your Imperial President”

If you actually listened to what Trump says, you would realize how wrong your statement is.

Trump isn't about being a ruling monarch, he's about getting people together and crafting deals.

Your concern, rightfully so, is that Trump would cut deals that were more harmful than positive in nature or more favorable to the liberals.

“Trump. The GOP’s version of Obama”

That conclusion is totally dishonest.

Conservatives did help Republicans to get elected. conservatives voted for Republicans. It was conservatives who volunteered to Republicans campaign. Conservatives helped Republicans to define the issues that they campaigned on. Conservatives did help the Republicans to have something to talk about other than their own careers or being bought and paid for by lobbyists.

Republicans gave back nothing in return.

Months ago, I ran a poll here at FR.

“Would You Still Support Donald Trump if he was running as a Democrat”?

I got a lot of flack for asking that question, but the results were clear.

Yes. Trumpers would vote for a democrat.

Technically, he IS right.

Face it - the conservative Republicans we sent to Washington in 2010 and 2014 betrayed us. there’s no other reasonable way to look at it. They didn’t just fail. They went insider. They went Washington. They betrayed the people who sent them there.

“No replies. “

That’s always telling, never want to get into specific content. Always cherry picked generalities spoken with both feet firmly planted in mid-air.

Hmmm, let me think. Can’t think of any true accomplishments but give them credit for taking Congress and the House passing many bills to revoke Obamacare. Even though there are more conservatives in the Senate, for some reason they think they have to cross the aisle and play nice. So yeah, politics as usual, but some are really trying.

Crossing aisle = bipartisanship = uniparty. They talk about it like it’s a good thing but it’s a bad bad thing.
