This is such a non-issue.
There are a lot of roles outside of combat that women can perform well. Admin, logistics, medical, intelligence, support, etc. Why shouldn’t women be drafted for these roles? If the nation is in the situation where a draft is needed, moving men into the combat roles and out of these support roles should be a higher priority. For each women that fills these roles, you free up a man to serve in a combat role.
Don’t be fooled. This ‘draft women’ thing is a tactic by the Democrats to try and force more females into voting for Democrats, with the perception that women would be more likely to be called up to fight if a ‘war monger Republican’ were elected.
It seems the feminists would be for this. “Equality” and all.
In the first place Mike, ‘15-year-olds’ DON’T get drafted. Secondly, there is no requirement that the ladies would have to be in combat; for every combat soldier there are 10 REMF’s. There are plenty of bedpans to be emptied, floors to be swabbed and paper to be pushed. Thirdly, it is simply a question of fairness; if men have to put their behinds on the line in defense of our nation, ‘the ladies’, should be required to as well. It is so funny to hear people who all our lives have been saying they are just as good as men, that they can do anything men can do, suddenly clam up completely when it comes time to put up or shut up. Well, it’s time.
I had to register 35 years ago and prove it periodically to keep my job.
I am opposed to women in combat roles and quite a few other military positions. They do very well in intel, though.
If women are allowed in combat MOSs then all women of military age should have to register for the draft. Let everyone have skin in the game until women are barred from combat by statute.
Women-in-combat (and gays-in-the-military) is part of a leftist scheme to weaken the US armed forces in order to undermine the role of the military in our foreign policy.

If women are allowed to serve in all military positions, how can one possibly argue against also registering them for the draft? It’s insanity of course, but it’s insanity brought on by the feminists who pushed for women in combat. How in the world can it be OK to draft a man against his will but allow women to pick and choose what they want to do? That’s not equality.

If wartime requires it, draft ‘em. There are plenty of support jobs women can handle as well as or better than men, freeing those men to go out and fight. Some non-contact combat jobs, too, like drone jockeys, radar, missile batteries, communications...
I disagree, maybe if a few thousand women died in combat, they might view the world a bit more seriously, and not like spoiled little princesses.
Im a woman and I say they should make women’s only troops, so they can modify ways of achieving tasks as needed. Can be still very effective in combat, just method of getting it done may be different.
Why butt heads with studies and real life reports where we already know it’s best not to mix them because it creates more problems to an otherwise great system.
I do think the women’s only should test against men only so when running missions they would work well in conjunction.
I haven’t read up on how israel handles there women in military maybe we can learn from them?
I don’t want to see ANY of my children drafted....however, if boys can be, then girls should be with a caveat...girls cannot be drafted into combat roles....there are zillions of things for them to do in serving their governmental responsibilities....combat isn’t one of them.
Cruz has spoken out strongly against drafting women or even making them register.
The draft would only be used in a national emergency (not a war), and women could be just as helpful as men in such situations.
Wars with countries big enough to require a draft are going to be over in a few hours anyway.
