Going to college is extremely expensive and time consuming. It also contributes to sex outside of marriage because in the 'olden days' people married younger and thus satisfied their urges in marriage.
Our grandparents were not better able to withstand the urges - they just got married earlier. Now men and women delay marriage to satisfy the urge have sex without marriage and don't produce kids anymore. Then maybe they get a low paying job out of college and until they pay their debts they won't have kids or get married - etc. It's a vicious cycle.
There was also the social stigma of being pregnant and not married.
Yep, that’s me. Almost 30, no romantic life and no prospects for one. I’m WAY too deep in debt to even start considering it right now.
