(CNN)Ted Cruz will launch his most forceful attack yet against Donald Trump in a TV ad that accuses Trump of buying political influence "in a pattern of sleaze stretching back decades."
The 60-second spot, shared first with CNN, is part of a six-figure ad buy that will hit voters' TV screens across South Carolina starting as early as Thursday. It centers around Vera Coking, an elderly widow who faced the threat of losing her home in Atlantic City when the city tried to seize it through eminent domain â in order to allow Trump to build a casino parking lot.
"Vera Coking's home was all she had left but it stood in Donald Trump's way and the limousine parking lot he wanted for his casino," the narrator says. "To him, she was a nobody."
The ad flashes to an October 16 Washington Post article about Trump's ties to the mob in Atlantic City, and slams the real estate mogul for having "bankrolled politicians to steamroll the little guy -- a pattern of sleaze stretching back decades."

And what’s more of course it says nothing about that Trump also offered her room in a Trump condo for the rest of her life.
But what would we expect out of the same ole same ole... fair and balanced?
I don't like it...just sayin'.
and I'm sick of hearing he isn't conservative enough
Enough? Nearest I can tell, them man is what we call a 'RINO', and has been now for almost 1/70th of his life. Before that, flat-out unashamed in-your-face liberal.
There are other issues that Cruz could have used, and even got my attention with, but this is bs.
This is exactly what I expected from Rafael. Hit your biggest opponent hard on the things that you most believe in, and where you differ the most. Ted is trying to appeal to conservatives, a group that stands by what they believe, stands on principles, even when it doesn't look good for the home team. Just because it is right. And I am not talking religion here, just belief in the constitution. Ted wants to convince the american people that when he swears to defend the constitution, he means it. Been a while since we had one of those...
A pox on Ted Cruz.
Now if he would only defend the constitution about NBC. If you can lose your citizenship by act of Congress you were not NBC.
I greatly greatly fear that if Ted goes down this road... he’s going to pox himself.
I agree, it getting so that you can't converse here anymore with out getting jumped on.
I'd like to see the written PROOF of Trump's offer. His words mean nothing. When she refused, Trump did not just go away. He talked the city into using eminent domain to take her house for a measly price of just $251,000.
Trump went away only when he and the city lost in court.
I’d like to see the written PROOF of Trump talking the city...
Port facilities are owned by government agencies; not privately owned.
Oh and when she DID sell she didn’t even get a measly THAT. So she won, but Pyrrhically.
“I’d like to see the written PROOF of Trump’s offer. His words mean nothing. When she refused, Trump did not just go away. He talked the city into using eminent domain to take her house for a measly price of just $251,000.”
Ah, then by your own standard, please share your written proof that “He talked the city into using eminent domain.”
I have to confess, I don’t know this law...not as simple as private property. This court case I could get behind - lets get it nailed down.
But the subject of this thread, nope. I get DT fans don’t like looking into his record. Obama fans didn’t want to hear that his loyalties were with muslims first, so they ignored what they didn’t like. And we got a personality cult presidency. Didn’t work out well...
tried again in scotland with redneck scot michael forbes. losing money 3 years in a row on the greatest golf course in the world. Go Trump! Make America Great Again so you can build more gambling houses.
Oh I hope so. :)
They just cannot comprehend the difference between public and private use of the ED law.
No one has been even close to being as nasty as Trump.
Yet he rolled his own personal debt into his corporate bankruptcies.
Trump hasn't attacked anyone who hasn't first attacked him...Maybe Trump will go full bore on Cruz now...Let the public know goldman sachs is one of Trumps major doners...That bank is counting on Cruz coming thru with his million plus H1B foreign workers to replace American workers...
Maybe let the public know that Cruz's wife was one of the authors of the extremely anti-American 'North American Union' pact, which removes any borders and allows all of South America to move to the U.S. if they so choose...
And maybe Trump will let the public will know that Cruz's wife is a member of the extremely anti-American sovereignty Council on Foreign Relations whose ultimate goal is a One World Gov't, New World Order...
If we're going to air some laundry let's get it all out there...
I see your view as 2D thinking.
“And I see Trump as a modern wizard who is baffling the media because he is playing three-dimensional chess on their two-dimensional chess board.”

Again: CRDA v. Banin
These three cases involve a challenge to Casino Reinvestment Development Authority's (CRDA's) attempt to exercise its power of eminent domain. CRDA and Trump seek a judgment determining that CRDA is duly vested with the power of eminent domain and has appropriately exercised the power. If the court concludes that such is the case it will enter a judgment to that effect and appoint three neutral commissioners to hold hearings to determine the just compensation to which each property owner is entitled for the taking of their property.
