That was eminent domain for public use. Noone has a problem with that. Trump wanted his cronies in government to use eminent domain to seize property and then sell it back to him so he could develop it. That is using eminent domain for private gain and is the height of crony capitalism.

I like the pearl clutching about TAKING the property, as if she weren’t offered millions of dollars for it.
I also like how the ad makes it seem like the house was actually successfully taken from the woman.
And also doesn’t mention that Ted Cruz also supports eminent domain.
Fact of the matter is, if eminent domain didn’t exist, one crotchety old jerk could produce a gaping hole in a border wall, or prevent the construction of a mall or some other economic development that would stimulate the economy of AN ENTIRE AREA. Someone should ask Ted Cruz if the Texas Rangers, or any other sports team in America, should be allowed to use eminent domain to build stadiums. I’d like to see him try to weasel out a “no” answer to that question in all of his lawyery jibjab and double-talk.
This ad just comes off to me like more disingenuous LYING from the Cruz camp, who seem to think that voters are too stupid to look up facts or think more than two-steps deep into any issue.

Trump dropped an ad that he andeveryone else knew was a complete lie by claiming Cruz is part of the establishment.
Like I said in the thread about a reason Trump claimed to no going positive was the hope that Cruz would not continuing to go negative. I suggestd that Cruz would go even more negative.
Trump’s sleazy character, sleazy business practices, and sleazy mob associations are fair targets and Cruz is right to educate the voters about the real Donald Trump.
Before all the Trumpites jump in, a number of them have not denied Trump’s mob connections and justified them as a reality of doing business in New York and New Jersey.
Any of you Trumpites think this is not part of the New Yorkvalues to which Cruz had referred? Of course, it was.

Name one thing in the ad that is not objectively true. With Trump, telling lies about him makes no sense when the truth is much worse for Trump.
