Bush was strong on terror after the World Trade Center came down. Before that he was asleep at the wheel and had no plan of action to prevent something like the World Trade Center disaster. The president is in charge of security and has to take ownership of it. Bush made mistakes in the early goings of his presidency and it cost us big time.

I remember calling the White House at midnight telling them he better not sign amnesty right before 911. I remember that comment vividly. 9-11 got GW from giving the same 12 million illegals (never changes) citizenship.

Many people say W gave us Obama. He mostly wasted his second term trying to force amnesty for illegals on a nation that did not want it. That and his refusal to even speak out and defend many of his policies demoralized many who normally voted Republican. And many stayed home in 2008.
