Well, that thinking shows a lack of understanding of the reality and consistent history of government interference in the economy shrinking economic growth and creating more poverty.

It also shows a lack of understanding of the problems of allowing government intrusion into our lives and enterprise endeavors.

You are talking about VAT - value added tax - tax upon value that is added to a product BEFORE the final purchase at the cash register. There’s no way we should allow that and the whole question of NST should be Moot anyway because the 16A is intact.

OK, by your logic we should have invaded the USSR when Stalin was killing tens of millions.

I know this is a worn out response, but it is not our place to be the world’s policeman.

We cannot make a justification to take down one dictator, but then back away from another. Once you go down the road of “per-emptive” war, there is no end to it. Unless you can demonstrate a rock-solid case that a nation is a clear and immediate threat to our existence you have no business dragging the U.S. into a war ... particularly when the history of the belligerents involves Islam.

There has never been “good guys” in the Muslim world; there are none now, and there never will be. Islam is pure evil. All of its agents and practitioners are utterly corrupt barbarians. There is no “democratizing” them. They are, to the very last man, a depraved inbred - and therefore genetically devolving - race, having not even one virtuous quality. If you want to “fix” the ME, then nuke it out of existence - all of it. That is the only solution, because there will never be peace there - the genetic deformity of the inhabitants makes intelligence, reason, and good will an absolute impossibility.

So following the blue line, looks like the dollar has lost roughly 40 times its value since 1913. If we got rid of the IRS and Louis Lerner and taxed income over 20 million at 7% ( to be like 1913) , I could pragmatically live with an income tax. Of course, the rates always go up and the brackets go down.

Summary?

What, you want me to read it for you too?

Point?

Point?

Unless you think the CIA is a left-wing RATagandist outfit (which maybe you do)...it is an official finding, not some whacked-out "truther" conspiracy theory.

If you are talking about a tax upon value that is added to a product BEFORE the final purchase at the cash register, then you are talking about VAT - value added tax.

If you are limiting your support to ONLY the final customer purchases at the cash register then we're on the same page except you bring in confusion, as here, when you start talking about "production" because that describes exactly what upstream prior to final purchase is all about.

it was the opinion of many more that the war was fought to fight Al Qaeda over there instead of fighting over here.

Yes, and also as opposed to the mountains of Afghanistan. (Come to Papa)

Your link had a bunch of sublinks - you need to be able to summarize yourself and make your point.

You seem to agree that there were no WMD’s when Bush decided to make this bone-headed decision to invade Iraq but you seem to be arguing that once upon a time there WERE WMD’s.

Trump’s point and my point is regardless of what WAS, Bush tried to justify WMD’s, nonexistent at the time, and then later changed his rationale to the equally bone-headed “Bush Doctrine.”

If you’re in Trump’s world, you’re either with him or against him, there’s no middle ground....ever.

That is a specious argument.

We could not have invaded the USSR. It would have started a war.

We did successfully invade Iraq and removed a vicious, murdering dictator.

I just heard from a Freeper whose son died there. To dismiss that war, which she believes was necessary, is to spit on brave soldiers who fought.

The cases are not the same. We know more about muslims now and wouldn’t do that again.

Oh, wait, Obama might.

Arguing about the Muslim world ... blah, blah, blah is pointless at this point in time.

I wonder what you thought then. Oh, I know.

Exactly the same as you do now.

Yeah, right.

Oh but I can .....and do.... I don't trust anything he says and with good reasons which have certainly been expressed any times on the threads. As for saying no action on Replacing Scalia....well that's a no brainier even for the uninformed.

I couldn't care less about "trade deals" one way or another. It's not in my 100 top issues. There are far more important things to worry about.

Trade imbalance is the cause of JOBS leaving America and corporate inversion.

BOTH of which is destroying the economy and sinking America and you say you're concerned with far more important issues???

Huh? You “doubt that very much”? WTF? You don’t even know me or my career.

The best bosses I’ve ever had were males, and exactly like Trump. Brash, irreverent, very smart, honest, appreciative of hard work, loyal, high expectations, funny. People always knew where they stood with them because they didn’t have time for games. One was president of a GE division.

Of course, that was before PC took over the country. After that began to creep in to the culture, everyone was plain vanilla, no fun at all, walking on eggshells, and work product even suffered.

No. It is not a specious argument. It is exactly the same rationale that you are using to justify invading Iraq.

“We could not have invaded the USSR. It would have started a war.”

Uhm - and just WTF was it that we were engaged in Iraq for 13 frigging years?

Oh, that’s right - Iraq was supposed to be “easy peazy” - whereas the USSR would have nuked our arrogant asses into oblivion. Got to be very careful about whose nuts you decide to cut off - especially when they have a real capacity to bomb you into the stone age.

You, sir are a hypocrite. Period.

My thoughts back then were the same as they are now. There was no definitive proof of WMDs. And, even if such were true, but given the assertion that there were, but they were removed, then why did GWB not pursue that intelligence to its logical conclusion? I’ll tell you why: Because while it is really easy to kick the crap out of a bunch of ill-equipped, badly trained Iraqi regulars - it ain’t so easy to take on the Russian Bear.

I got you by the short hairs, buddy - and I am not prone to let go.

No, the actual CAUSE of JOBS and BUSINESS leaving America are

1) the unconstitutional federal minimum wage forcing businesses to raise costs, cut jobs, and eventually look elsewhere for more favorable cost conditions.

2) the myriad of unconstitutional dead-end, useless, cost-boosting federal regulations

3) federal protection of cost-hiking, unproductive unions.

I’ve worked for many male bosses as well..and they were and still remain successful in their companies...but they were not rude, vile, nor obnoxious as Trump is..... You did not have to work on egg shells wondering when the next outburst would occur or the direction it would be fired. They were intelligent about business decisions and quick to make them when things needed to be done. What was seen at this last debate with Trumps meltdowns among Presidential candidates showed clearly how he would be as President....one who comes unhinged whenever he’s critiqued, and unable to respond sanely to the issues he was addressed with..he had no defense...nothing to offer but the usual rude and obnoxious responses.....if he can’t handle a debate among candidates he sure as heck won’t handle anything needing to get done in Washington!

RE: if they were about trump’s sister being a SC justice, I saw that too. VERY disturbing; trump said it, she’s a flaming liberal and yet, it’s not to be posted on FR

Oh, I’ve posted it. Get’s pulled every time.

The fix is in.
