Everyone of those candidates will be knocking on his door....Hell....Carson has already said knock, knock....

They'll flock to him. Politicians make money by knocking....just like you and me...

I'm sure Trump's people are doing full blown bios in search of best person for the job in all categories.

Not at all. I'm ok with the crowd response. Guess question remains, was the audience stacked as reports seem to suggest. Wouldn't be hard to confirm....follow the money.

Rubio was cheered loudly multiple times....made me wonder.

Hey, at the end of the day....it's all good. I think Trump is a rude, obnoxious yankee. I'd still vote for him in the general election over democrats.

Ted Cruz is my senator. He’z done all he’z promised for the citizens of Texas. Not saying this because I'm a supporter. It is an accurate statement based on his work record.

As solicitor general of the state of Texas, he sued the Obama administration dozens of times. I trust the guy.

Trump will have an up hill battle come super Tuesday. Not at all convinced he will win SC. Will see.

The audience was awful. Redneck graduation/wrestling/etc.

That was the best line of the entire debate.

I agree about the no booing or clapping. The media are experts at bending public opinion by using manipulative tactics like audience laugh or applaud tracks. They wrote the book on propaganda.

I think the statement is technically correct in that context but it is an extremely unfortunate circumstance when history shows that we did in fact win two wars inside of four years’ time. However, we couldn’t have done it without tons of help.

Isn’t it unusual that someone thinks we should fight 2 wars when we shouldn’t fight any war unless it involves our national interest. We can’t fight wars to nation build and democracy is not something people who live as if it were the middle ages can understand. Makes me wonder how many family members they have serving. Life isn’t like the movies.

I never answer a question where I have to imagine myself being in the position of a POTUS or Commander-In-Chief. Trump could have pointed out the fact that what we did in WWII is improbable now but he didn’t. I wish he would have because young people need to understand what Obama is trying to turn us into and why.

Pick 2 wars that the entire congress would let us fight to win
Especially the democrats if the potus is a republican

Point if fact is we have multiple wars going on right now

Korea and China which is at a stalemate but could go hot within a fortnight

The war against Islam which has multiple fronts but which the U.S. govt won’t even admit who is the enemy

The rivalry with Russia which the neocons are trying to flame into a war using proxies like Turkey and UKraine

The war on narcoterrorism in which Mexico has become a moral wasteland across which millions of poor uneducated illiterate and desperate people are being trafficked into the US to skew our demography

The great global economic war which is looming and in which our fighting force, the U.S. dollar, is getting set to be hammered

Watch Rubio closely

By attacking the unpopular cruz instead of trump, he may be angling to be trump’s VP if he is brave enough to go to work for a man who is not owned by the GOPe

Trump-Rubio
May not be my preferred choice but would beat anything the democrats scramble to put together
And they will scramble
I predict neither Bernie the Red or Hitlery will be the democrat nominee

As a reminder to some, our Nation has had many elections where the rhetoric gets down and dirty. It happens. It’s nasty. It’s politics. We don’t have to like it, but it is what it is. Don’t let it be a distraction.

Here are some examples from our Founding Fathers, no less.

#1 the American public backed the military during WWII.
#2 we fought a war where each country wore a uniform today
the war the mid east is fighting a guerilla warfare. We
are fighting a war according to the Geneva Accord.
(Convention). Plus we have a golfer in chief who
has tied the hands of our military and downsized
every branch of service and removed over 100
general officers in all branches of service.

"During WWII, the Allied forces maintained a holding action in the pacific Theater until the fall of Berlin. "

You might want to dust off that old history degree of yours: While we were landing in North Africa we were also landing the 1st Marine Division in Guadalcanal. Then we fought in the Gilberts and the Marshalls in '43 through '44, the Philippines in '44 while we also fought in Sicily, Italy and then landed at Normandy. The landings in Leyte Gulf in October '44 were nearly the same scale as the US portions of the landing at Normandy 4 months earlier. The landings in Okinawa in early '45 were even larger.

Is that your idea of a "holding action"?

The private sector is where all politicians come from, and I’m guessing if Trump’s doing the picking, it’ll be from a crop of cronies we’ve been complaining about for decades (but they’re OK now because Trump). Corruption will set in within 2 years even if they come in fairly pure. Heck, YOU could get elected and be corrupted in a couple years. It’s just that bad.

Oy vay, I hope not

A dull boring white guy with no campaign money and no ground game ... Not a well balanced ticket imo

Rubio brings youth and ethnicity, a politician. some senate time and I think trump could school him to become a leader and use his qualities for the best ala “ The Apprentice” ! Put Rubio on the stage with Bernie and Hillary and see who the millennialis prefer. Grandpa Lenin, the perpetually angry feminist librarian with a gym teacher girlfriend, or the sharp young Chicano

If only he doesn’t also bring a background of extramarital affairs which seems tbd

Trump deserved it.

Ridiculous.

It was the audience that was obnoxious, rude, childish.

The audience couldn't boo Trump's first answer, which was a damn good one on the Supreme Court. So they booed Trump's opening sentence in his SECOND answer, which was a perfectly reasonable, acceptable opening statement in any answer in any political debate, including Princeton and Harvard: "Jeb is wrong."

The audience then doubled down, tripled down, quadrupled down, booing every word out of Trump's mouth from that point on.

Perfectly fine with me, stacking the audience in official GOP debates is the only weapon the GOPe has in its arsenal against Trump at this point. Lame stuff, and it will have little impact on votes.

The GOPe is going down "fighting," but they're going down.
