I don’t understand our question?
ISIS is the collective that will be destroyed
ISIS hijacked the revolution in Syria and will be eliminated
IIRC- there was an article posted in the last week that got pulled (Limited Nuclear War Within 18 days as Saudis Mass 350,000 Troops) discussing this too.
Nor do they have 2,500 combat aircraft. There are only five major air bases in Saudi, and I never saw anywhere near five hundred F-15s at any of them.
I don’t have any question about it. Feuds between Muslims aren’t my problem, frankly. If we’re instead talking about preternatural meddling with outside political motives of say Russia, or the US, or Obama and his ilk, then what are we supposed to think and rely upon?
I was merely supposing exactly how might the Saudis with a very significant arsenal come down on it.
the numbers represent the forces of the entire coalition that Obama abandoned
I think that's an impossibility. It's still 'Me against my brother, me and my brother against our father, our family against our clan, our clan against our tribe, our tribe against our nation, and our nation against the world'
20,000 tanks?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Arabian_Army
Lots of info here on what the Saudis have.
Looks like 442 M1A2S Abrams as front line tanks, with 600 M60 Patton and French AMX-30 as reserve unit vehicles.
The Saudis bought from the Brits. I think they have Challengers. Great tanks, but they don’t have 20,000 of them. There are not 20K Challengers in the world. Heck, even if you include APCs and IFVs, I don’t think they have 20K AFVs.
This whole thing is ridiculous.
Gen 16:12. A curse of sorts by God. Islam took advantage of that curse.
Saudi’s currently have a total of 1,200 tanks, 490 combat aircraft, and 224 helicopters in inventory (not sure how many are actually functional).
“More than 2,500 warplanes, 20,000 tanks and 450 helicopters will be part of the exercise.”
R/C convention. No drones allowed.
Combine everything on tracks from all the Gulf countries and the African countries mentioned and the numbers would look very sizeable. But Pakistan’s share would still represent more than half of whatever number they can, on paper, muster. Problem, however, is getting those resources across the Arabian Sea past Iran and into the Gulf would present some genuine logistical “issues”. The “civil war” in Syria is a potential trigger for a general Sunni on Shia conflagration, which in turn could bring in bigger players. And the Kerry / Obama policy has been to feed that fire.
Can the Warthogs depleted uranium rounds take out an Abram? I’m guessing yes, which at some point might be a good thing.
On a secular level...what a mess we have in the Middle East. Looking through my biblical goggles...a larger regional war is shaping up.
Could this be the early stages of WWIII?
Well this could get interesting.
My first reaction on reading this was “About time”.
My second reaction was “This could be very bloody and long.”
.
typical number inflation in Muslim reports.
The Saudis have about 15K Hummvees. Maybe they’re counting those under ‘tanks?’
I was wrong about the Saudis buying from the brits; their frontline takes are M1s. Wonder where I got that from? Somebody out there bought Challengers.
