After watching yesterday's debate I finally came to a realization about Sen. Rubio- I don't like him very much.
Even from the start, when I supported him, there was just something about him that rubbed me the wrong way, but I couldn't put my finger on it. So I ignored that sense of unease and focused on his good qualities- his eloquence, ability to articulate conservative principles, and dedication to Christian and pro-life values.
But over time that initial sense of unease I had about him started to be vindicated. It was confirmed by various articles I read about him, like this one, and interviews of him I watched.
I wanted to believe he was ready to be president and that his lack of experience was more than made up for by his intelligence, knowledge of the issues, and character. More than anything, I tried to convince myself of these things because at the time I believed he was the most electable Republican candidate. I actually still believe that, but it's not nearly as clear-cut as it used to be for me.
I've gone from being curious about his campaign, to supporting Rubio for president, to questioning his readiness to lead, to abandoning him for Sen. Cruz, to now strongly disliking him as a candidate and as a person. Here are the events and reasons that caused me to reach this conclusion:
1)When Marco started calling Cruz a liar, it really bothered me, cause it seemed like he was so eager to use that word, and just casually tossed it out there like it didn't matter at all, like it was personal to him. Now he routinely uses that attack against Cruz, I assume

translation: The establishment is back to Yeb again.
I have had no use for the duplicitous weasel since the day he and his Gang were yucking it up for the cameras when they announced their bill to:
“Comprehensively Screw Americans Out Of Their Country”
All participants of that travesty should be banished politically.
Translation confirmed.
If Marco would don a red bell boy uniform, he’d look the part, spot on.
Marco: All the slipperiness of Bill Clinton, with none of the smarts.
Rubio is like Trump and Lindsey Graham.
They can say things at times that sound great.
But there is no there there with them and don’t merit support.
This is a presidential primary. They are ALWYAS hard hitting and we always see sides of our candidates as they fight for the nomination that we may not be as comfortable with.
But politics is a hard hitting game in order for them to win the nomination.
I am not defending it as much as I am just observing that that is the way it is.
Now, I support Cruz 110% for the nomination. I believe he has the most conservative record and the nest record of combating large government and the OP establishment that seems more interested in compromising with the progressives than defending the constitution.
Having said that, here’s a word of advise...and caution.
ANY of the GOP candidates would be far better for America when compared to Sanders or Hillary. By far.
We have to be careful that we do not get so upset with the primaries that we lose sight of the principle goal...and that is defeating Sanders or Hillary and their destructive, progressive, socialistic views and rolling back Obama’s disastrous eight years.
Any of the GOP candidates will do that to one extent or another and we simply cannot afford to stay home because our sensibilities are offended and allow sanders or Hillary to win.
I went from Rubio, to Cruz, to...nobody right now, in large part because of how they've all been acting.
AGREED!
IS THERE A CANDIDATE THAT ACTUAL YWANTS TO MAINTAIN THE GREATNESS OF AMERICA?
ONCE LOST ... WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO RECOVER IT?
WAKE UP AMERICA!
Why would anyone like a person who is duplicitous and despicable? Fits Rubio perfectly.
I agree—something is not right with Rubio—He gives me the same feeling I had with Mitt Romney.
It’s Trump, by default for me, because at least he’ll shake things up.
yea but the same can be said for cruz too. I was all in for him until I began to learn more about him. Who his wife really is, the secret loans, the secret PAC who is into more dirty trick than Nixon was ever accused, his rightist holier than thou and yet he does or allows the things. But the one thing that bothers me the most...the smartest lawyer in the world has handle canada issue before running and you know he would have if he could have! And he does have a smarky kinda attitude to boot!
Rubio’s number one problem is the fact that he betrayed all he ever met:
He betrayed his friend, Jeb Bush, who supported him morally and sent him a check even, in his FL congressional and senatorial, state and federal endeavors.
He betrayed the TEA party, who worked avidly to make him Senator of FL, instantly, as soon as he saw the big columns in DC.
He betrayed legal Americans and America with his Gang of Eight.
He still betrays the two, above, when he speaks in Spanish to Jorge Ramos and tells 180 degrees different on amnesty, saying in Spanish that he’ll “keep president Obama’s amnesty deal”, but tells the viewers in English that he wouldn’t.
He betrayed all the FL residents by being absent from DC and not performing his senatorial duties, in pursuit of yet another position.
He never has staying power for more than a few months, after he wins any position.
The media all call him an “establishment insider candidate”. He ran for the senate as an outsider, in the TEA party, and was a total deceiver as soon as he hit DC.
He is, in simple words, Benedicto Arnold to all he ever met, depending on what his incredible political ambitions are.
His second biggest problem is inexperience in the real world.
He has never produced or built anything. He was a lawyer for a very brief time. Other than that he has never even run a taco stand.
Trump/Cruz 2016
Rubio = GOPe wind-up toy.
“I’m 110% behind Cruz”
yea I was all in for too him until I began to learn more about him.
I thought Kid Rubio was just piling on with the “Cruz is a liar” comments at the debate...and, his argument have are considered at the worst, a difference of opinion.
For me, the major known event was Rubio reversing a campaign promise and taking the lead in the Gang of 8. If he did it once as a junior Senator, he won’t hesitate as POTUS...so, it’s difficult to support him when Cruz has upheld his campaign promises...
