Trump: RNC breaking pledge, calls Cruz a ‘liar’
The State ^ | February 15, 2016 | Andrew Shain

Posted on 02/15/2016 11:29:30 AM PST by VaeVictis

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Monday that the Republican party is breaking its pledge to stay neutral while pouncing on GOP rivals who attacked him at a weekend debate.

“I have never met people like politician. They are the most dishonest people I have ever met,” the New York billionaire said during a stop at Mount Pleasant hotel on Monday. “They lie, lie, lie and then they apologize.".....

Trump suggested that the Republican National Committee was not honoring a pledge to not hurt his campaign if the businessman promised not to mount a third-party presidential run.

Trump was booed several times during the Republican presidential debate Saturday in Greenville for criticizing other candidates. Trump said the debate audience was stacked with lobbyists and big Republican donors.

“I signed a pledge,” Trump said. “But the pledge is not being honored by them. ... They are in default of their pledge.”

Trump, the winner of the New Hampshire primary last week, spent most of his speech to several hundred spectators going after U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, his closest rival in South Carolina.

He blasted Cruz for distorting his stance on the Second Amendment during the debate. Cruz has said Trump would erode gun ownership laws if elected, while Trump calls himself the biggest gun rights advocate in the race.

“I think he’s an unstable person,” Trump said of Cruz.

Trump called Cruz a “bad liar” who stole the Iowa caucus when the senator’s volunteers spread rumors about GOP candidate Ben Carson leaving the race. Cruz won while Trump finished second.

You’re right, there is no need for histrionics if there is a comfy 22 point lead. Trump’s internal poling must be showing that the gap is closing as well.

We will know for sure if Trump keeps throwing Cruz tantrums for the rest of the week. If Trump keeps it up.....I'm going to say that his internal polls are either showing a tie...or that Cruz is taking the lead.

Interesting times..........

The unbalanced Trump wants to be treated as if he were already the nominee.

That is insane.

Trump lies more than anyone else in this campaign, by a long shot.

As for Trump, from what you posted you know what his position is. So does Ted.

No, nobody knows what Trump's position is, because he has changed it so many times. He is a populist and floats like the wind... He is a NYer and says they are a different breed from the rest of the nation. He switched on ethanol in Iowa a week or so before election time just like he switched on Planned Parenthood after saying he would end it. One must hold a position more than long enough for the hot potato to hurt before others decide you really mean what you say.

There is a reason Cruz didn't switch on the ethanol issue. He knew it was right even if it cost him votes in a state that is highly dependent on government money propping up a fuel that kills motors. Cruz didn't have to switch positions on the abortion, he was in the right. He did have to wave a bible around and start calling it his favorite book out of the blue. He lived it.

Trump has said he is pro-life. He has not come out and said he still support abortion.

Is there any part of that you can’t grasp after eight months?

He hasn’t changed his mind every whatever minutes, and you should know it by now. Alas you’re on the record now not knowing it.

As for Ethanol, I disagree with him. That is perhaps 70th on my list of important issues right now. Cruz seems to have the right take on it, and when the other 69 items are addressed, I’ll consider voting for Cruz.

As for Ted living his religion, I guess that’s what you think deceptive mail campaigns, having to apologize for railroading Carson supporters, and lying about Trump’s stance on abortion is all about.

Hiring a known CIA disinformation specialist to the campaign might have been a step too far as well.

Ted does not live his religion. Sadly...

I mean, we all remember her landing in Bosnia under intense sniper fire, right?

You should have been there when Brian Williams and I flew her in under sniper fire to pickup John Kerry so he wouldn’t have to spend another Christmas in Cambodia.

Bill and Hillary haven’t lied on Trump like Cruz has.

Cruz made a serious mistake. It’s not that he attacked Trump. It’s that he flat out lied in the attack.

Had Cruz attacked Trump on Trump’s platform, they could have had a friendly joust and Cruz could be in the running for VP. But Cruz lied about Trump’s positions and that is why Trump is calling him out as a liar.

Trump’s original Canada diatribe, well in advance of IA; was all about Cruz’s platform - not.

Eligibility is a legitimate issue.

Remember that Trump caused the media to acknowledge the issue.

You just post more and more disinformation crap with every post. Surprised you didn't post your picture you plastered every thread the other day with it.

deceptive mail campaigns

It is a campaign, you do fight to win don't you. Sorry Cruz is not laying down dead enough for your liking. Sorry Cruz makes your guy look like an idiot on the debate circuit. NOT

Is there any part of that you can't grasp after eight months?

Whoa, Trump is suddenly pro life after 60+ years of not being. Call me foolish for not believing him now.

having to apologize for railroading Carson supporters

He didn't have to apologize for anything. He did nothing wrong. Perhaps you think Cruz could of manipulated Carson to release the info, then manipulated CNN to misreport it at a perfect time to help his campaign. Perhaps Trump should wave another book around as his favorite.. since you think Cruz is somehow divine.

Hiring a known CIA disinformation specialist to the campaign might have been a step too far as well.

I went rabbit hole searching down that dark path too looking at some very liberal blogs, trying to find just where this fellow supposeable (<---may not be a real word) caused some Jewish fellow to kill himself over an advertisement. There was a reason some sites get conspiracy ratings, they are nuts.

You do the right thing, as a Christian. You didn’t know, and want me to take your word that Cruz is a great Christian.

You disqualified yourself.

Trump has explained his transition from pro-choice in 2000 to pro-life in 2011.

This isn’t something that just came up. Yet again more misleading trash-talk instead of admitting Trump now supports pro-life.

Cruz apologizes now for not doing wrong. Okay, got it. Whew... One more “mistake”...

On the last item, you simply are not informed on the issue.

It was a long five years ago, according to him, just after he started donating exclusively to Republicans.

And his conversion story is underwhelming.

-— Trump named two judges he considered good SCOTUS nominees Saturday night. -—

That he thought of all on his own. Or did someone whisper in his ear?

Who? And how did Trump choose this advisor? On what basis does he choose advisors? Who will be advising him tomorrow?

Trump doesn’t speak in principles, meaning that he doesn’t understand them. It’s why his positions blow with the wind, and why we can’t rely on him in any respect.

Everything is a deal. No deal too small.
