What do you think in light of recent reports and conflicting information about the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia?

Important people die of simple reasons too. The guy was pegging almost all heart attack risks on the chart in your doctor’s office, and looks to have died of a heart attack.
I oppose the investigation because it would be a waste of time and resources, and it’s against the family’s wishes, and conspiracy nuts never believe the results anyway. Sure they demand an autopsy NOW, but if he actually got one and the ME said “yup, fat old smoker died of a heart attack” they’d insist the data was faked and the ME was pressured. That’s the way conspiracy nuts work, all evidence that shows they’re full of crap becomes part of the conspiracy.
There’s ALWAYS people who suspect something. Because there’s ALWAYS people who can’t seem to find something useful to do with their time. Look how often people insist that every bad thing that happens is a false flag. Look at all the folks who are quite sure MH370 is going to be used in a terror attack any day now because it simply had to be stolen forgetting the fact if you have international terrorist money you can just buy a plane from the dozens of cold storage places scattered around the world. Look at all the ones that insist Princess Di had her brakes tampered with, ignoring the fact that outside of TV there’s 3 other ways to stop a car. And the list goes on and on. Meanwhile, ALL these people need to read better books and stop over complicating life. They’re the boy who cried wolf, at this point somebody actually should be conspiracy murders just because they’d be able to get away with it, the conspirators could appear en mas on 60 Minutes and everybody would write it off as nutters.
The death has been investigated as much as it needs to be. The authorities have agreed, nothing more is going to happen, people clamoring for more data to ignore are stupid.
What was the message? Sheesh.............

Scalia seemed to be in great physical shape (even though you insist on calling him “fat”) and certainly he was functioning brilliantly on the Supreme Court. Would you have picked him as someone who was going to drop dead in the middle of a weekend outing? I’m thinking NO. And because of that, and because of his position on the Court, an autopsy should be done - regardless of how many people die in their sleep on any given day.

Yeah? It hasn’t been investigated at all! Again, why are you OK with that? Because an investigation would be a waste of time and resources? You cannot be serious.
The Warren Commission findings were such an obvious overup that there would have been open riots in the street if they didn't seal the records when tempers were still red hot.
And the government still doesn't trust the public to know all the facts.
There are still some records sealed, supposedly until 2017.
The odds of them actually being unsealed and available to the public next year aren't good.

Functioning brilliantly has no relationship to one’s life expectancy. Which keep in mind, in spite of it all Scalia did manage to exceed the national average.
It HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. You just don’t want to accept the confirmation. And it HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED, but again, like the conspiracy nuts, you just won’t accept it. And if they did an autopsy you wouldn’t accept that either. Some people just want a complicated world.
The pillow could have been left as a sign of what little fear the perpetrators had of ever being caught. Furthermore, it would serve as a warning to any other person thinking of doing something rash.
Probable? I don’t know. Possible? I think we all know that.
I always suspect conspiracy things. It’s all a matter of probability. To me this seems like a low probability. I more strongly suspect that Obama is a muslim and trying to destroy our country. I more strongly suspect Hillary is a lesbian and that Bill has a mental disease. I more strongly suspect Trump will disappoint his supporters.

How many people in the poll have seen dead 79 year led men who have died in their sleep? I’ve seen plenty. They drop like rocks.

People you consider “fat” do not necessarily have a diminished capacity for life. Are you aware of Scalia having an inability to enjoy life? He went on a weekend outing at a ranch and did normal things there, apparently. It seems as though he was able to experience a high quality of life. You might not like the way he looked, but, you know, not all “fat” people drop dead overnight. Doing so is what we might call unusual.

Answers:
You probably have a pillow over your head two or three times a night. You move a lot when you are asleep.
No call for an autopsy because he was stiff as a board, no sign of foul play, nothing was out of place, and no indication of trauma. The local person spoke to Scalia’s Dr. Scalia had gotten an MRI last week. My educated guess is that he had congestive heart failure. Big old fat guy. 79. Think about it.
3. There are times when people are clearly dead. Cold, lividity, and stiff are three pretty good indicators.
Old men die in their sleep all the time. This is not unusual. The man, and the place make it seem unusual. But if these were at his home in DC, no one would bat an eye.
Actually, it is. Especially in a strange bed, with more pillows that you would normally have. It probably got pushed against the headboard at night, and simply fell over him.
No one is saying the damn thing was in his mouth.
