The fact is that someone, at some point, is going to make Cruz' place of birth an issue, and this is far more meatier than the Obama birther issue.

The only document needed is his birth certificate showing who his Mother was.

If Obama was born in Kenya to a woman that was a U.S. Citizen (she was wasn’t she?) then he’s a natural born citizen. The difference is Obama SAID he was born in Kenya, then said he was born in Hawaii. He was lying then, or is lying now.

Trump doesn’t have that many gullible young followers, proportionally speaking. As to his Canadian duel citizenship that he was entitled to because his father became a Canadian for a short time, he rescinded it. Perhaps it is these docs that you want to see, but it has absolutely no bearing on his US citizenship or his qualifications as a candidate.

Apparently, actually knowing something about law isn’t much of a consideration for the North American Law Center. As you pointed out, natural born citizens don’t have citizenship papers; everybody’s birth certificate is sealed and the Constitution provides that the Senate is the judge of the qualifications of its own members.

His dual citizenship was a product of the fathers Canadian citizenship. Ted's citizenship came from the Mother at birth. There is no question about this.
As to his eligibility, at the time of his birth, US statutes gave him natural born status. This is supported by a long line of legal reasoning going back to the first congresses.
I will mention that there is a contrarian opinion but that opinion has failed all recent legal tests.

He was born of a American Mother on a VISA. He was born a American citizen.
I believe by US law at the time he was born, his Mother wasn't old enough to pass on citizenship at birth. He needed to be born on US soil to have any claim to US citizenship. That's the reason for all the desperate narrative about him being born in Hawaii.

As far as I know, he is not hiding anything. he has released the only document required.
It could be that the Canadians are not opening their files to US reporters, and thus he is accused of hiding something.
But as I said, the only file they would have would be the request to rescind teds dual status as both a Canadian and a US citizen. He probably would not have even known it was on file as they don’t send you trophy or GREETING FROM THE QUEEN or anything..and he had never returned to Canada.
They have also asked for documents related to teds, Mother’s visa and the father’s documents as well. All these requests to Canada, not ted.
My understanding was that it was noted during his run for Senate.
This matter has no bearing on his eligibility and thus is only important to some news’s fishing for dirt.

That is exactly correct, but they did not go after this aspect in court and instead wasted all that time on the BC.
The reason is simple...The courts hate to get involved in political matters regarding the natural born argument even if presented evidence so they saw the BC as the only way to unseat Obama as it was more in the line of a fraud.
Most recently are some three suits tossed out on Cruz, but over the last 100 years or so, there have been a number of legal arguments. Many of these were not directly related to a case. Some were only dicta resulting from a case.
When I say failed legal tests, I don’t necessarily have a case to refer to. In many instances, it is the fact that the case was NOT brought, that indicates the failure. I think that is the telling of the failure.
