may cause problems for the parents and the child when attempting to establish the child's U.S. citizenship

I saw Trump's news conference today (see YouTube) in South Carolina and, according to Trump, Cruz has lied his way into a law suit. The subject of the suit will be ‘birtherism.’ Trump claims to already have a lawyer(s) lined up. They can start their research with JB Williams’ work on the matter. I have read a lot of JB’s work, which goes back all the way to the beginning on ‘birtherism.’ He is the one who claims to have a guy in Texas who has Cruz saying that a ‘natural born citizen’ is someone born in the U.S. to two U.S citizen parents. That was before Cruz set his sights on the WH.

Thanks for the question. My practice was adopted during the Reagan era, although I have never voted for a Democrat for President in my life.

I vote for the most conservative candidate in any election, primary or general. My second rule is that I will never, under any circumstances, vote for a Democrat. I have never had a conflict with my two rules.

I will certainly vote for the GOP nominee as I believe any third party candidate are recipients of silly votes. Accordingly, if Trump is the GOP nominee, he will receive my vote considering that the choice will be either Clinton or Sanders. Life is about choices.

I’ve liked Cruz. He’s my 2nd choice after Trump. But I’m beginning to smell a rat. If Cruz is so leadpipe certain that he’s legal to hold office, why wouldn’t he get a legal adjudication and settle the issue. Trump is right. You can bet the farm that if Cruz gets the nomination the ‘Rats will file a suit before you can say QUICK.

And now, along comes this article questioning whether Cruz is even a legal Senator. Could it be that Cruz is whistling past the graveyard, questioning HIMSELF whether he’s REALLY leadpipe legal; and hoping to slide in by the skin of his teeth? I’m beginning to wonder.

I think all of our candidates are unfortunately flawed. All of ‘em.

That being said, I have no choice at all other than to vote for the GOP nominee, even if it’s someone I despise like Kasich or Bush. I don’t know which of those two guys I loathe more.

But whoever gets it gets it, and I gotta vote for him.

I think the theory is that his parents never registered his foreign birth, so he was born Canadian and missed some statuary window to claim his American citizenship. I have no opinion on the matter.

I'm surprised so many on a conservative website are shaking over lawyers and courtrooms.

My guess is they don't really fear a lawsuit, or even believe this nonsense has any merit. They simply think it is some mud that will stick to their candidate's closest rival. You will find the loudest anti-Cruz voices on this thread are the loudest voices on all the other anti-Cruz threads. In the same vein there is a pro-Cruz element that slimes Trump every chance they get.

Frustrating behavior but it must be effective since so many engage in it, candidates included.
