RUSH:...The Right Scoop has a story that internal Bush polling is showing Cruz making "a serious move in South Carolina," a serious move. And apparently Trump and his people believe it, because this was an-all-out hit job just now on Cruz. I'm sure Cookie is rolling. And hopefully we'll have some sound bites of this before the program ends. It's been going on actually before I knew it was a press conference. We could have JIP'd some of it. I thought it was taped interview. But it's actually the presser."....
RUSH: So that was a prime focus of Trump's presser today. He focused on other items as well, and just to repeat, internal Bush polling has Trump at 26 and Cruz at 24 in South Carolina. "

Trump cares about nothing but feeding his super inflated ego as in megalomaniac.
-——”The RNC gave all the tickets to special interests that represented Cruz and Rubio. They had all the tickets,” he said. “They walked on the stage and the place went crazy.”-——
As far as I know, that’s a bald faced lie....all candidates get a share of the tickets....
Of course the RNC keeps a share to pass out to the GOPe....
Hardly sounds like a default, more like whining....
Rush really has gone full on establishment. Why would he repeat an unverified "Bush" poll, first reported days ago by Kristol, and since that time refuted by 4 or 5 polls? He even sits there and says "just to repeat." Why?
He’s a crybaby. I’ve thought from the beginning that his disdain for the Republicans, his covert fondness first for the Democrats, and his own ego would make him mount a third party bid unless everyone bowed down to the philistine candidate, Trump. His mercurial character is yet one more reason for him not to win the nomination.
He won’t. I wish he would go 3rd party.
here is another blast from the past the MSM will tear down Trump with if he is nominated...

There are tons of outrageous crap in his history that the MSM will bring out if he is the nominee. Right now they love him like they loved McCain during the 2008 primaries, the “Maverick”...
His best bet might be to run third party in hopes that he gets that third in such a way that he wins most states.
He should win New York and Florida. Which would be two big wins. If Cruz is the Republican candidate maybe he wins Texas. Hillary or Sanders takes California.
The test of the states are up for grabs if the independents have the final say.
Life could get very interesting.
Trump has worn out his welcome in this house.
While I like his positive statements, feel he could get this economy on track, handle trade with countries better than any of the other candidates, his negative campaign has me worn out.
IMO his constant calling the other candidates, esp.Cruz, a liar, threatening a law suit as to whether Cruz is even elegible to be President is destroying the repub candidate of winning in November.
Esp. these last few days he has taken the negativity to a whole new level.
What undecided voter would vote repub after the pounding Trump has unleashed on a ‘fellow’ Party member.
The dim candidate has the merely play Trumps words in ads.
Really bad form
of course, unlike many freepers who did not vote for Romney and instead voting bammy in, I will swallow my pride and vote for THE pub candidate, no matter who he is....
but we all must realize that we have been once again, become the patsies for the Rat party, and Trump is the leading rat..
Run and hide.. Just like the debate. He cries like he needs his diaper changed. Instead of manning up.. He runs and hides. Some leader.
Third party run and put Hillary in office.
Run in the primary and throw enough stones around to give the Democrats plenty ammunition to use against the Republican nominee, Ted Cruz.
Announce an independent run for office after he gets enough supporters to split the ticket.
He runs as third party and Hillary walks into Office
Trump gets his YUUUUUGE payoff from Bill Clintooon and Company. Hillary and Obama walk free for all of their misdeeds that they have pulled in the last 8 years.
Thanks Trumpanzeeees, yawl are the BEST........
Fight Back
Much as it pays to emphasize the positive, there are times when the only choice is confrontation. In most cases I’m very easy to get along with. I’m very good to people who are good to me. But when people treat me badly or unfairly or try to take advantage of me, my general attitude, all my life, has been to fight back very hard. The risk is that you’ll make a bad situation worse, and I certainly don’t recommend this approach to everyone. But my experience is that if you’re fighting for something you believe in— even if it means alienating some people along the way— things usually work out for the best in the end.
When the city unfairly denied me, on Trump Tower, the standard tax break every developer had been getting, I fought them in six different courts. It cost me a lot of money, I was considered highly likely to lose, and people told me it was a no-win situation politically. I would have considered it worth the effort regardless of the outcome. In this case, I won— which made it even better.
When Holiday Inns, once my partners at the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, ran a casino that consistently performed among the bottom 50 percent of casinos in town, I fought them very hard and they finally sold out their share to me. Then I began to think about trying to take over the Holiday Inns company altogether.
Even if I never went on the offensive, there are a lot of people gunning for me now. One of the problems when you become successful is that jealousy and envy inevitably follow. There are people— I categorize them as life’s losers— who get their sense of accomplishment and achievement from trying to stop others. As far as I’m concerned, if they had any real ability they wouldn’t be fighting me, they’d be doing something constructive themselves.

He’s going to sue Cruz. He’s going to run third party. If all that Trump can do is make empty threats then how will any foreign leader ever take him seriously if he manages to become president?
The guy is a 1st class New York City Jackass!
this threat is getting tiresome.
