Yes. Buchanan went nuts well before 911.
He went over to the left when he and some other ostensible libertarians (who took over FR to some degree like the Strumpettes today but were banned) made common cause with The Nation and their coteries of leftists.
My take is that he was a libertarian at the time.
But, he was a billionaire builder in New York. Of course he associated with the cultural, business, and political leaders.
Buchanan has been consistently “declared war only” for a long, long time.
It is a libertarian meme as well, so if you’d like I could look up Ron Paul and see if he opposed the war on Iraq or not. What do you think?
