There are very, very few people whose endorsement of a candidate matters to me, and among them Thomas Sowell may be at the top of the list. Thus, when he speaks his mind, I listen carefully.

No surprise here. Sowell was one of writers in the National Review article condemning Trump.
He backed Mc Cain too

Yep. An endorsement from a well respected man. Of course he will be called a Rino by rabid Trump supporters, like Levin, Limbaugh and Cheney were. I think the only true conservative in their eyes is Trump. I see him more as a populist (still better than any dem.)

Fan of Thomas Sowell. Very glad he has endorsed Senator Cruz.
Early or late? Early, when the McCainiac was running around in big bus doing his campaign no good, or late, after the convention?
Timing matters.
Backing candidate X when the convention is over means you're loyal to the party.
Backing candidate X when he's all alone in the snow, handing out leaflets and asking for people's votes by the factory gate and trying to scratch together a couple of district wins, means you are Vanguard and Diehard, and you will sit in the Cabinet, or in a big U.S. embassy overseas, or become governor of a State.

I disagree. I know Dems who are horrified by PBA. Trump isn’t. His vaunted “Reganeque transformation” is just a guise.

I am a Cruz and or Trump supporter.....both for obviously different reasons.
I am registered for the caucus here in Nevada and as of now, I really haven’t yet made up my mind who my support is going to go to.
I respect Levin, Rush, Sowell and value their insights and opinions. Because they might say something I don’t agree with does not diminish my respect for them but I do listen to their arguments as to why they believe the way they do.
This, in my mind, is what rational conservatives do, they listen, they ponder and evaluate, then reach a conclusion.
Throwing under the bus those who don’t validate ones particular belief are the ones revealing they’re not worth the time to converse with.
I still participate here because there is still some very valuable comments to read, but those comments seem to be getting rare thanks to the zealotry and trolls.
