Fox News Polls - Head to Head matchups (Trump loses to Hillary by 5% and Sanders by 15%
Real Clear Politics ^ | 2/18/16 | RCP

Posted on 02/18/2016 10:23:20 PM PST by Angels27

Trump - 42% Hillary - 47%

Trump - 38% Bernie - 53%

What gives with this poll? I know Donald Trump is extremely egotistical and loathsome, but would Americans put an open and avowed crook in the White House over him? Or avowed Socialist?

And whats up with Sanders beating the entire GOP field badly???? Are Americans really going to embrace Socialism now?

But whoever dreamed an anti-American, Chicago commie layabout Muslim grifter would ever get elected...then get RE-elected. With two or three generations of minds corrupted by public education and communism being viewed favorably against capitalism, I’m beginning to fear Sanders can get elected.

Meaningless polls. Until both parties have their nominees and then train their guns on each other, these numbers don’t reflect anything except the MSM trying to select our nominee.

Vote Trump.

The level of foreign interference in the U.S elections is unprecedented which means the money is too.

England and it’s ban Trump effort, Pope Francis et al. Trumps is seen as a major threat.

I hope he makes it past the Ides of March.

I guess some people don’t get how much many dislike Trump? Head of his unfavourables? They’re pretty darn high.

And the other issue is we have no clue about running mates at this point.

I know the liberal conventional wisdom is that Sarah Palin hurt McCAin, but many of think she energized the race, and made it closer than it would have been.

Can’t think offhand of any running mates who could tip the balance . just saying that running mates do make an impact.

I haven't decided yet whether I will vote in the general if Trump is the nominee. I know a fair number of lifelong Republicans who feel the same. So that may be part of what is driving some of those polls.

It is really easy to explain. Trump has historically high negatives. His appeal does not go much beyond his fervent yet minority percentage of supporters. He is a polarizing figure who loses to almost everyone in a one on one race.

Trump has very high negatives.

So does Hillary.

Bernie is less known than either one of them. IF Sanders is nominated (I doubt it) swing voters will get an introduction is to his radical marxism and a non-stop reel of him saying insane things with his Brooklyn accent and unkept “crazy professor” hair, and he’ll drop like a stone.

I’d have trouble seeing him beat even a horrible candidate like Trump, who I think would be an underdog to the horrible candidate Hillary and would only have a chance against her because she is so unliked herself.

Dems should have run Biden, even though he’s a drunk joke he’s far more electable than Hillary or Bernie.

Trump hasn't consolidated the GOP vote, so how would he consolidate the national poll (unless he was pulling in more Democrat votes than Republican).

Head to Head national polls are misleading, and largely useless, until after the primaries. There are too many variables. Plus, primaries are won state by state, not nationally. Same applies to the general election, but in a two horse race, it's easier to draw national generalizations from a poll.

That said, if Trump doesn't stop with the wanton character assassinations of ALL OTHER GOP candidates, as well as misrepresentations about candidates positions, he'll never get more than 35% of the GOP vote - period. (Heck, he'd probably call Mother Teresa an "oar" if she were still around to get in his way). People won't support a guy who trashes their candidate with PERSONAL attacks, because voters internalize those insults upon themselves. Life just doesn't work that way.

Right... Romney was the one who would win too... And was really ahead in the polls too...

Trump has huge negatives, but never mind that...

Keep drinking the cool-aid and then wonder what happened when the sugar high wears off...

you’re all WRONG.

i dont want to use the word naive as an insult, but you are not living in today’s america!!

i’ve said it fifty times, i dont know, maybe i’m not explaining it well.

Dems, ESPECIALLY bernie, have white kids under 40. Big time.

they have blacks Big time. They have hispamics. Big time.

They have single white women under 50. not as big. 60/40 maybe

they have the Jewish vote 60/40 at BEST for us.

they have the asian vote big.

they have the LGBT vote. Big.

We have married white women majority.

We have white men Big. But not big enough.

He IS losing by that much but that doesn’t mean we cant win.

but denying what is real is going to ruin us!!!!

All this board does is fight about Trump and Cruz.

and talk about some mythical crossover vote from dems that’s not gong to happen!

i remember all the talk about “look how small obama’s crowds are” and “i dont know anyone voting for him”.

it KILLS me to say this, but if i had to put money down i would say that psychopathic, perverted sick leftist piece of #### has a very good chance at being our next president.

then it’s all over.

DONT TAKE THIS POLL LIGHTLY. PLEASE.

Fox is part of the problem. News Murdoch style.

the WSJ is owned by Murdoch, the NY Post owned by Murdoch, Fox owned by Murdoch.

That WSJ poll was the only poll out there of almost a dozen polls where Trump wasn’t at mid 30’s and Cruz wasn’t at 19 percent or less.

Don’t believe it if it comes from the Limey SOB
