I asked and stated simple FACTS!

You claim to be old enough to remember many other primary/election seasons, have had a good education, but your posts belie both things!

Have you forgotten what a foul mouthed, crude, devious, crooked SOB that LBJ was?

Are you even cognisant of older American political history? Do you know that Jefferson called Adams an "hermaphrodite"? Words/terms such as queer, girlie-[man, etc, hadn't been invented yet, hence a word meaning a man U& woman in one body. And if you don't think that calling Adams that name was TERRIBLE back then, then think again!

Jefferson wanted to bring Washington down, but kn owning that that was a "bad" move, he went after Hamilton...BIG TIME, with both guns blarring.

I'll stop now, because I've more than made my points and you have been shown up for being what I called you out for being.

And FYI....Cruz supporters are far, far, far, FAR worse than Trumpers in these "flame wars"; you just arfe blind to what's going on here.

Well, brilliant is what I’d call him. He’s not deserving of the shameful attacks I’ve seen on this board. I have no problem with zealous Trump supporters as I expect Trump will be the nominee, what I have a huge problem with are vicious attacks ripping him down as if he’s the most backstabbing leftist weasel in DC. I think those sorts of attacks deserve a ZOT on sight for those that engage in them.

As for “reporting” on what you’ve “been told”, it sounds like a bunch of establishment horsecrap. There’s no active movement to defeat Cruz on the Conservative side if and when he runs for reelection in 2018. None. It’s the RINO party establishment who didn’t get their boy Do-Crist installed. I challenge you to find any names on the right who intend to run against Cruz for not being sufficiently Conservative or effect in defending and speaking out for the cause. So far, you can cite no one.

wow great post! you hit the nail on the head.

You know what I would have included here:

5. Romney

Romney was just more of the same old, same old , been there done that republican candidates put forth. I think a lot of registered repubs sat it out, disgusted at the Bush presidency (nice guy but caved on everything) and what was happening in the USA. How much worse could it get? Which ha ha of course, way worse. Anyway! I wonder if a lot of those types are Trump supporters today ?

It’s the nasally quality of his voice and the droning on and on ... same timbre. Not the accent. At all.

I feel terrible but Cruz just reminds me of a TV evangelist. Of course I will support any republican nominee but I want someone pissed off who will actually do something and to me, that guy is Trump.

Oh, but I think it most assuredly IS Cruz’s accent that you describe. I know two guys from Houston, and they talk almost exactly the same way — pitch, rhythm and nasal timbre.

Of course, you’re always free to dislike the accent.

Moreover, you may be entirely correct that most of the USA would find it annoying, just as many of us Southerners find that Sarah Palin’s “extreme Idaho” accent is a turn-off.

Too bad that we judge people by such qualities. But I guess that’s just human nature.

Beating Sanders (if he doesn’t wind up in Fort Marcy Park first) will be a challenge for any conventional (consultant+poll+donor driven) candidate.

Ouch!

From Real Clear Politics, Nov 9, 2012:

Romney received around 57.8 million votes in 2012. In 2008, John McCain received 59.9 million.

Romney got over 2 million fewer votes than McCain!

I can't believe that any of the TOP Republicans running, and I mean Trump, Cruz and Rubio getting LESS than Romney. Kasich, JEB and Carson, yes, but not the top three.

Do you really imagine that the REAL results of the 2012 election aren’t available everywhere from Wikipedia to the Federal Election Commission?

Romney got 60,933,504 votes, about a million more than McCain, and with a smaller turnout than McCain.

see page 5 of official record:
