They should have gone with the Cobra Zulu’s from the start. The Tigers are not marinised nor do they have blade folding (you have to manually unbolt each one).
Given their culture, training, tactics, and operating areas, the Australian Army should be using the same sort of gear the USMC uses.
Interesting the AH-1 is still in production, or did I mis understand? It was a welcome sight in Vietnam. I’ve had rides in the front seat of an AH-1G many, many times.
