Pastor: ‘The Pope Needs to Ask Donald Trump’s Forgiveness’

Pastor Robert Jeffress said on Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday that Pope Francis should be asking Donald Trump for forgiveness.

Yes, in reaction to the Pope suggesting Trump might not be Christian, Jeffress said, "I think the Pope needs to ask Donald Trump's forgiveness for making such an outlandish statement."

He thinks the Pope doesn't understand how big a threat ISIS is and that he's "confused between the role of the church... and the role of government."

Whatever. I think Trump is doing the right thing and moving on from the fight with the Pope. He got his media cycle right before the SC primary. Continuing the fight serves no purpose and risks offending Catholic votes he needs later on in the northern state primaries.

Having watched Pope Francis make some very unbiblical statements the last 2 pr 3 years that made me wonder if he even reads the bible while rubbing elbows with politicians, attending UN summits and engaging in politics I'd say Trump is spot on. I think Francis is a key component of the NWO and may have horns up underneath that zuchetto on his noggin

The pope should apologize to Americans for involving himself in our political process. He doesn’t live here, suffer with the burdens illegals cause, nor pay taxes to support them. The pope insulted Americans.

“...risks offending Catholic votes he needs...”

You mean the ones who vote Democrat, no matter what and who love the Pope’s leftward tilt?

Just saying.

IMHO

Nutball pope steps in it again. This is the most popular pope ever . . . among libtards, hollywood and others that hate Catholicism. He needs to stay home and STFU.

Since Donald Trump has said he’s never done anything he needed to ask forgiveness for then I suggest His Holiness take the same position.

Heli, you’re a crazy as hell trumpeter (and that is said in fun), I give you credit for not commenting on this ridiculous statement....it would’ve diminished you.

Seriously

This Pope is not a theologian. He is a sociologist. His political and social views are Marxist. Patriotic American Catholics can fix this problem as most of the money fueling the Vatican originates in the US.

If they just protested at the collection baskets, the Curia would remove this freak and replace him with someone worthy of the position.

Squeeze them til they squeal!

As a catholic ( from Europe ), somehow involved in the church , i am wondering IF THAT POPE IS CHRISTIAN .

In line with the new face of tyrany , the New World Order , he is welcoming the muslim invasion , expansion , in Europe and in all the so-called free( christian ) world !
So the question makes perfectly sense ....

That pope should take care of his mouth and of hese words !
He should realize that he is supposed to be the pope ...

That’s not a wall around the Vatican, is it?
Walls are unChristian, per the Pope.

I think Ann Coulter had it right, strip Catholic Church of tax exempt status for the Pope and leader of the church injecting his political views into a US election, to influence the outcome.

i agree, and personally have had enough appeasement of the islamic faith, kissing the crapan(muslim book of lies), time to tell it like it is, Mohamad is a liar and thief of souls from Heaven..Islam is a religion for the dead..and yes Christianity declares it an abomination to the living God..
God will kill it for what it is, lies..

Certainly most Catholic dioceses in the US are engaged in a conspiracy to violate US immigration law, and likely US and state voting laws as well.

In all honesty, I think three things irrespective of watching a video:

It would be wrong for the pope to attack trump on this
I don’t think he was attacking trump, I think he was speaking figuratively
There is still no way in Gods green earth that I will ever vote for trump

I suspect YMMV on at least one of those! :)

it is because the pope does not have the vision of Christ higher pastures..Hearts have to change before man can live as one, only Christ changes hearts..

ok , it would make more sense for world peace to call for all mankind to sit down, hand in hand and pray to understand the reality we were created for..

no, no, just tell everyone to open the borders to murderers and terrorist in the name of proving our faith,,screw that, proving my faith has nothing to do with sticking my head in the sand and acting all kum by ya...

The pope’s statement about the role of government in this case is consistent with Catholic doctrine. Make no mistake about it. In 1895 in the encyclical “Longinqua” pope Leo XIII asserted the doctrine that the Catholic Church should “enjoy ... the favor of the laws and the patronage of the public authority.” The separation of church and state that are part of the core design of our form of government are seen as heresy by the Catholic Church. The formal name of this heresy is the “Heresy of Americanism” and it has been condemned in several other church documents. Look to the history of countries like Spain, Italy and France (and Mexico) to see what this would look like, where for instance, the church had separate courts for ecclesiasticals and controlled the schools.
