Over the years, we have seen the left use “racist” and “Nazi” labels like a hammer on conservatives. I am disappointed in myself for sinking to that level. It was here on Free Republic that I first learned that “a plane just hit the World Trade Center” that morning. And it was here I joined up with the rest of the Eagles who stood guard around the Viet Nam Memorial in a frigid March 2007. I am hoping we can turn down the rhetoric.

You honestly expect an American citizen to take a socialist
subject of the British crown as anything other than insignificant? Sure the world feels sorry for her and the
atrocities she endured but that’s no excuse to give her
opinion of American politics any credence at all.
So far she’s still a socialist and the only thing standing
in the way of her being a NAZI is an old bat with a crown.
I for one think this is brave of you and humbling to me. We need to focus on what we have in common. We all need to tone it down and focus on the mission - get a President in the White House who will move the country in the right direction again. It is good that we disagree on some things, but in the end we need to unite and keep the D’s out of the White House. Keep the House and the Senate. And this time, get some things done Right.
