Karl Rove said Donald Trump should be "worried" because he has hit his peak and he is on the decline. Rove points to Trump hitting 38% in the RealClearPolitics average earlier, while the frontrunner is currently only at 34%.
"Remember, he peaks on February 11th at 38% in the RealClearPolitics average. If you took out the undecideds he was at 40 percent. And today he is going to be 34%. He's declining and not rising. If I were him I'd be worried," Rove said Saturday night after the primary was called for Trump.

And once again, the predictions of the demise of The Donald shall turn out to be strangely premature. Someday, far in the future, The Donald is in fact be on the downside of his career, a most amazing arc through the annals of history, and he may finally be eclipsed.
But not yet. There are still a lot of scenes to be played out, and great arias to be sung, before this theater closes.
In his way, though perhaps not in the same direction, The Donald may well prove to be as pivotal a personality as Teddy Roosevelt, and for much the same reasons. There is widespread mistrust of government, and of the part of the political establishment that has profited from that malfeasance of office. Perhaps there shall always be some kind of malfeasance, but maybe, for a while, a different bunch of rascals can take the reins. And it will take them a while to really become equally as corrupt as what now is going on.

My guess is that by this time tomorrow, at least one pundit will be declaring Kasich the big winner in South Carolina.
