Just in the last year bought a self defense 870 that holds 8 rounds. Ironically it kicks less than my 1200 even with 00 or 000 loads. I got a bandoleer with another 25 rounds for backup and started carrying this in my jeep at work and home. Just night before last a meth head murdered a LEO and wounded three others before they got him here. Its not safe anywhere anymore.

While I detest affirmative action, I must admit it has provided job security for white guys that can find work. Somebody has to write coherent letters/emails, show up on time, and actually WORK - so pretending some incompetent token is running things assures us of lifetime employment. An unofficial “tenure”, so to speak - just keep your knowledge to yourself...

Newark NJ should be telling the residents the same thing; the city can’t pay enough competent cops (when they had layoffs a few years back, they ended up with an older department), so the residents who don’t pay for police protection simply don’t get any. Resources are concentrated in the small downtown area to protect the businesses that pay the bills, and the portions of the city inhabited by those who contribute least (actually nothing) resemble Mogadishu.
