Donald Trump on Monday night once again ratcheted up his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz, calling his GOP presidential rival "sick."
"This guy is sick. There's something wrong with this guy," Trump said Monday night as he slammed Cruz for the senator's campaign tactics, including the attack ads Cruz and his allies have run against Trump.
Cruz's campaign has run several ads scrutinizing Trump's record on a variety of issues important to conservatives.
Trump has repeatedly slammed Cruz since the Texas senator surged in the polls ahead of the Iowa caucuses and has since ramped up his attacks on him since Cruz beat Trump in the Iowa contest.
Campaigning in South Carolina last week, Trump also called Cruz "unstable" and "a basket case."
Trump also pointed out Monday that he beat Cruz out for the most support among evangelical voters in the South Carolina primary and said evangelicals voted against Trump because "they don't like liars."
"They're really smart people. They don't want to vote for a liar," Trump said Monday to a crowd of thousands packed into a Las Vegas arena.
Cruz, who has sought to position himself as the one "true conservative" in the race, has ramped up his attacks about Trump, bashing the Republican frontrunner for his "New York values" and suggesting Trump is not conservative.

What utter garbage! Talk about low class, but no doubt the Trump supporters here will be swooning right and left that their boorish thug of a candidate is beating up conservatives, who are of course the “GOPe”.
I tend to agree with Trump on this one....while I like some of Cruz’s positions/policies over Trump’s Im not a bit comfortable with those surrounding him. As time goes by Im getting the “something aint right” feeling about Cruz.
Remember Ben Carson?
Trump should go after Rubio instead. Cruz is already finished.
Regardless, is this the type of gutter language that should be coming out of a President’s mouth, and about another Republican no less?
I take great entertainment pleasure witnessing liberal tactics of deflection in use. Instead of taking it head on and make a point by point rebuttal of ad accusations he works on the emotions of people to call what is truth “sick.”
Alinsky is too his idol and Trump the Chump his pupil

Yes, Trump needs to start making up things about Rubio and anyone else that might stand in his way.
I heard a clip from Trumps rally last night where he was literally yelling that Cruz was the biggest liar to ever live, or something to that effect. Then I read this morning that he wanted to punch a protester in the face.
The man is delusional and paranoid. It’s past time for his children to take him home and get him the help he needs before he has a catastrophic neurological event. Surely there is somebody close to him that actually cares about him more than his money.
Poor Teddy Bares. That guy is a loser!
I hear sick used all the time to describe something that is awesome. In this case, sick is just sick.
Trump is saying these things about one of our most conservative folks that we we have seen go to Washington.
The more this liberal hack opens his mouth, the more I’m confident he stands in stark opposition to everything I believe in.
I would vote for Rubio LONG before voting for Trump.
Fortunately Cruz is still solidly in this race, he has had a few losses, but he is not an idiot.
So many are completely underestimating who he is from a political standpoint.
David Dewhurst had the election wrapped up. Cruz did not stand a chance. Yet somehow Cruz soundly defeated him. Dismissing Cruz by calling him “unstable” and “sick” is nothing more than painting him in a light which speaks negatively about not just him, but his supporters as well, but even more so, the core principles of conservatism.
The only one who is sick is Mr. Trump and his sycophant followers whom have turned their backs on liberty and the US Constitution.
“Regardless, is this the type of gutter language that should be coming out of a Presidentâs mouth, and about another Republican no less?”
You haven’t noticed what Cruz has said about Trump?
Frankly don’t care how it’s done, so long as Rubio is successfully destroyed.
Trump get more votes from Cruz supporters if Cruz drop out
I am not underestimating Cruz. Initially I over estimated Cruz. He has disappointed me.
It’s just the way trump talks.
“Fired like a dog”
“these people aren’t babies, they’re killers”
“a sick guy”
Cruz keeps saying Trump is “rattled” but Trump gets attacked for repeating himself.
Convincing Cruz supporters of this truth is an almost impossible task. Hence, we have repeatedly said not to even try, just let them awaken on their own. However, that said, there are times when the sunlight needs to penetrate; when urgency becomes vital. We are closely approaching that phase.
Cruz is giving off a Nixonian vibe and the voters can feel it.
