Breaking— CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE —

ted cruz

A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. “His Campaign is done.”

“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”

Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

An anonymous quote from an anonymous person.

Unsubstantiated.

Fake.

“South Carolina is a very liberal state?” In what universe?

I know it’s hard for some of you Cruz supporters to understand this, but there are many evangelicals like my large family and I, who are voting for Donald Trump. In South Carolina, my uncle and his family, who are VERY conservative evangelicals, (they won’t even listen to contemporary Christian music) voted for him.

We are simply in the process of hiring the best and strongest leader possible that we believe will get this nation back on track, when it comes to businesses and our border. Should we ever need a new pastor, we’ll cast our ballots in church

I was making an objective observation of Cruz’s campaign with no intention other then stating an opinion.

I support both Cruz and Trump, it’s been obvious now for a while that you can’t do that here without being percieved as attacking or promoting, rather than just observing with no motive.

Sad.

Trump took "Born Again Christians" (72% of the voters) at +6.

A lot of Democrats identify as "born again Christians."

2% of the respondents claimed to be democrats and their poll numbers were negligible. 22% claimed to be Independents which Trump took over Rubio at 33% to 19%.

If this is a poll, I'm not sure it's very helpful. What I mentioned earlier are the actual voter records. They can be tabulated so there is no guess about how many Democrats and Independents voted.

At least that's how it's done in my state. I've gotten the voting records of who voted in elections many times. You don't have to guess or "Poll" people to get the straight scoop.

I find the number 2% Democrat to be completely bogus. I do not believe that only 2% of the voters were Democrat. The number must have been much higher judging by everything i'm reading about Trump's appeal to various Democrat demographics.

“He should have dropped his holier-than-thou speech cadence.”

I think that is HUGE. The CADENCE, combined with the pacing back and forth across the stage, and combined with the flailing arms. I loved that stuff when I went to revival tent meetings in the ‘50s, and there’s a time and a place for it. A Presidential campaign is the wrong time and place; it simply does not work.

It was, still is, the cadance that makes my skin crawl when Obama speaks.

This is like Atlas Shrugged. Powerful producers and rational thinkers keep disappearing — in this case going to the dark RINO side. McConnell, Boehner, Ryan. Real former heroes like John Roberts and Trey Gowdy. Rush, who has all but endorsed the establishment Rubio.

Now this Freeper website posting these article prominently from “unnamed” sources.

No wonder our country is dying.

Where have all our heroes gone?

The evangelical vote went to Trump because this is the Bible belt and we see through that religious crap cruz was spouting.

Trump will take the south. Don't sell us short.

What does that say about Cruz's ability to pick a Presidential cabinet or other potential judgment calls?

Maybe he was lied to, politics is a dirty game.

How about a little objectivity, or is that not in the FR vocabulary anymore?

Just as Trump was very kind to Cruz, Trump supporters were very complimentary to Cruz and his supporters. But as Trump gained momentum, the Cruzies got very bitter and angry with us for not seeing how superior Cruz was.

Maybe CRuz is more conservative. Probably. But that’s not primarily what this country needs right now. What is desperately needed is a strong leader who can overturn all the political correctness culture and take out the Establishment power structure that has us all under their grip right now to begin to save this country from being destroyed permanently.

Later, once we’ve got control of our own country back, we can begin to rebuild everything that’s been broken, into a form that is more akin to what it used to be and which you and I would find much preferable to what we have now.

No offense to you, but Ted Cruz just doesn’t have what it takes to pull off the monumental task at hand. Trump definitely does!

IIRC, something like 20% were Dems. Point being, 66% of them weren’t voting for Trump.

I think it was 19% Cruz, 11% rubio. To follow your logic, they thought those guys would be easier to beat too.

It could also mean they want no part of Hillary or Bernie

Cruz should aim all his fire power at Marco. Cruz should deconstruct piece by piece Marco’s dabblings with the Gang of 8. Defeat the Comprehensive Immigration Reform sham once and for all.

Actually "GOPe" should actually be "gopE". The "E" should be capitalized. The gopE would rather Hillary win than Trump, because the "E" is more important that the "gop" part. Don't forget, our system is partly a globalist Uni-Party now. People on both sides are starting to see it.

The only problem with that is.... judging from most of Trump's pro-big-government stances, with the exception of illegal immigration, Trump embodies the "E" more than the GOP. In fact, he actually sounds more like most leftist Democrats to me on many of the other issues (tax the rich, abortion and pro-Planned Parenthood, pro-single payer/universal healthcare, pro-eminent domain for private corporations, Bush lied, 9/11 Bush's fault, etc.).

And considering his rather childish, petulant temper, he reminds me a lot of the current narcissistic, egotistical, bullying thug/putz in the WH. Do we really need another one of 'those'? No. That is the last thing we need right now.

Funny. Since when is a wall, mass deportation, and a lock down of muzzy immigration liberal “ideology”.

The fact remains. Cruz can’t compete against Trump, and is barely treading water against Rubio. Your just fast enough to be eaten second by the bear analogy doesn’t work. Trump IS the bear.

Cruz never had any issues until he began to attack Trump. That was his biggest mistake.

He didn't attack Trump. By virtue of his increasing standing in the race, Trump began to attack him, first. That was a pre-emptive strike by Trump, carefully measured to stop Cruz before he became a serious threat. It took a long time for Cruz to respond, but eventually, he had to end the bro-mance that he had crafted to avoid exactly that situation.

I suspect a dirty trick, likely from either Trump or Rubio. (Most likely Rubio, IMO.)

Better expect more than just one dirty trick in this, the most crucial election of our time. Just sayin....
