"I would think that because of the fact that while I'm very political - I'm not a politician - I would want to choose a politician," the candidate told FOX Business Network's Neil Cavuto.

Trump's national campaign co-chair told the Boston Herald the candidate is looking for a "diamond in the rough" as a potential running mate.

After eight long years of eye hurt Jarretts, Moochelles, Cankles and Wasserman-Schultzes, I’ll settle for seeing some attractive women in and around the White House.
Since Billie and Barry’s wives presumed so much, make Melania veep.
The job’s not worth a bucket of warm spit anyway.

“David Horowitz.”

Now there is an interesting name I haven’t heard before.

Horowitz takes no prisoners in debate. He really knows his stuff and is one of the foremost defenders of Free Speech versus Politically Correct Speech.

He is somewhat devoutly Jewish which might draw some votes.

He’d drive the academic left to apoplexy.

He has also been married three or four times and might not help with with Christian conservatives because of that but a lot of conservative academics like myself would love that choice.

I’d support that choice

So, what would that be....aside from the obvious e.g. someone able to step in and become President? Let’s play HR consultant...

Complimentary KSAs:

Opposite personality type (Kasich, Carson)

Former legislator, preferably Congress, who knows how to get things done through the system

More detail oriented, less big picture (because Donald is ALL big picture)

Stengths in complementary areas (e.g. other than finance and economics)

EEO points:

Female
Non-white
Age < 50

“Newt, if not VP, how about press secretary?”

Newt would devastate the press. Hahahaha

what difference would it make. Like trump would let his VP do anything other than get the newspaper and order pizzia. Trump don’t need a VP. he can do everything. And it will be great and unicorns will fart rainbows and everyone will have a new car.
All Hail Trump. he will be the greatest leader since Mussolini made the rains run on time.

Newt was part of the earlier revolution. Regardless of whether he was picked as a running mate I am sure that he will be of great assistance.

My other guess is Rudy Giuliani.

Trump seems to be about relationships as well. Someone connected to the current Congress, but not compromised by it.

KASICH Sucks and I cannot support him. If Trump is even considering him it proves 2) things: 1. He’s not a fighter against the “establishment” and 2. He’s lost my vote in the General Election.

Iron may sharpen iron, but rust and aluminum produce thermite.
