Rush Limbaugh Goes Full Nutter - The Most Illogical Pretzel Argument Ever Presented
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 2-25-2016 | sundance

I know from the comments section many people have discussed how bizarre the recent ravings of Rush Limbaugh have become. However, I had not spent time listening to them, until this happened.

As far as I can tell this was actually broadcast by Rush Limbaugh yesterday. To say he’s contracted a viral strain of election cycle cognitive dissonance would be a severe understatement. Listen to this logic:

I know from the comments section many people have discussed how bizarre the recent ravings of Rush Limbaugh have become. However, I had not spent time listening to them, until this happened.

As far as I can tell this was actually broadcast by Rush Limbaugh yesterday. To say he’s contracted a viral strain of election cycle cognitive dissonance would be a severe understatement. Listen to this logic:

If Ted Cruz wants to win he’s got to focus exclusively on attacking Trump. Why? Because Cruz has to realize Marco Rubio is not going to drop out. If Rubio is not going to drop out, Rubio is not the obstacle – Trump is…

See if you can follow this logic. Marco Rubio is not going to leave the race, therefore it is the better course to attack the stronger frontrunner because, well, according to the Limbaugh logic, Trump winning in all the contests must mean he is positioned to leave the race – or something.

Seriously, this is what Rush Limbaugh is presenting to his audience. This makes absolutely ZERO sense. This is completely nonsensical. This is epic level moonbattery.

What makes Limbaugh think Donald Trump, a candidate who has won three consecutive resounding victories, is less disposed to staying in the presidential race than a freshman senator who has won absolutely no primary contests?

…And if Trump is no less committed to exit, then how does it make more sense to spend time trying to eliminate the stronger of the two candidate options?

We have heard rumors there are times when ineffective “gaslighting” can lead to absolutely insane expressions of logic. It would appear this rumor is profoundly true.

People pay this guy to hear this stuff?

“Are you joking? BTW, “most others have” is false.”

I stand corrected: Bush, Carson, Sanders, Clinton have....Rubio, Kasich, Cruz have only promised to do so.

Sundance argued that Johnson was on the scene during the struggle. Johnson said he was elsewhere. It comes down to disputing Johnson’s whereabouts at the beginning of the struggle.

Once again: "Why is Dorian Johnson allowed to get away with denying his physical involvement in attacking Darren Wilson?"

Is Sundance calling Darren Wilson a liar?

There is an earlier comment that claimed Rush supported, rather than debunked, the article.

You beg in vain. I no longer go to that site. He posts information that is incorrect and posts pics with incorrect attributions. I wrote him off during the Michael Brown debacle as unreliable. The only reason you support him is because he supports your god.

Did Wilson state in so many words that Johnson was long gone at the beginning of his encounter with Brown?

Rush is quite sophisticated in his political analysis.

I only get the half hour at lunch but it is never a disappointment. and after hearing these stooges talk about their toe nails all day, quite refreshing.

I work in an undisclosed location deep behind enemy lines in NY state.

Now that is funny. Almost FRIDAY!!!

“The only thing you have to pay for is access to certain things on his website. Otherwise, it’s all there on his website every day ..... FREEEEEEE.”

Then link me directly to one of his podcasts on his website where I don’t have to be a 24/7 member to access. I’ll wait.

At one time conservatives frowned on the practice of smearing people without providing a link to proof/facts and evidence.

Perhaps, but my take was he did neither, which is often the case.

That was before TRUMP! Now the only links that matter are "Praise TRUMP!" links.

You have a delicious "Praise TRUMP!" day.

Cruz happens to be the only candidate qualified to be president, and you want him to drop out? Have we not been through this nonsense in the past half dozen presidential elections?

First, I don't share your opinion that Cruz is the only qualified candidate. Of the candidates still in the race, Rubio is probably the least qualified. Even Carson has executive experience as the former Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital for almost 20 years.

Second, regarding "Have we not been through this nonsense in the past half dozen presidential elections," this election is not like any of the past elections. This election is like a bloodless coup d'etat. Past elections had our candidates pre-selected for us by behind-the-scenes powerbrokers, and then those candidates betrayed the voters by appealing to foreign interests with taxpayer giveaways while tuning their backs on those who elected them.

You can tell this year that the power-brokers are running scared as the people reassert themselves. Ask yourself this simple question: When in the last 24 years have you seen a party try to take out its own runaway frontrunner? The answer to that should tell you that this election is different. Why are the outsiders leading? The answer is that the people are looking for new qualifications, because the old ones don't work for us anymore.

You wish you could reduce it to that.

It’s more like Praise God for raising up Trump, flaws and all, to the challenge of being a US President at this time.

Not to the challenge of being the best president for some other time.

Not to the challenge of being the next president of Focus On The Family (to allude to just one of the irrelevancies currently bouncing around).

Like most of us would doubtlessly say to Jimmy Carter about the Shah of Iran: he wasn’t perfect; but you did not know a good thing when you saw it and you therefore wrecked it hoping to do good, and not just wrecked it, but wrecked it at the very worst historical time to do so.

You wish you could reduce it to that.

It is reduced to exactly that. Conservatives, who opinions have always been respected on FR, are now shredded because they don't like Trump. Shapiro, Levin, Rush, everyone of them despised and shredded because they dared to not support Trump. The only other time I have ever seen this kind of emotional blindness was with Obama.

Anything that is posted that questions Trump is immediately jumped on, isolate, ridicule, marginalize.

So you’re unable or unwilling to substantiate your smear of Sundance because...

Ok...

Don't be so sensitive, I havn't attacked you. I just asked you to answer my question.

.................

I know people that work in a grocery store. They're intelligent, decent hard work working people.

Why would you put such people down? Very un-conservative

Answer the question, or don't. If you don't want to answer, explain why.
