No very simple. He releases the returns he has filed with the disclaimer they are being audited. It’s very easy. Tax returns are amended all the time for companies and high net worth people.
Even his supporters have to admit he is simply stalling.
But he can’t get away with not releasing them. ALL the candidates need to fully disclose. This is the whole problem we need to get rid of in politics. Candidates need to be open about who they are.

They are all scrubbed clean before they are released. It’s a joke because the IRS isn’t going to talk about what was actually turned in.
He does so and his willful enemies use them to flout him in whatever fashion. Including to hurt him financially.
Can’t blame him for a nothing doing. This could be a broad signal to the Obama IRS as well: lay off if you want anything about this circus you are egging on to be publicly visible.
I don't want any candidate releasing his tax return. If they don't believe in the privacy of their tax returns and other personal information how are they ever going to defend MY PRIVACY.
