"True or false: you said the government should pay for everyone's health care?" Cruz asked Trump.
"That's false," Trump flatly said.
"You've never said that?" Cruz asked, seemingly surprised by the denial.
"I said it worked in a couple countries," Trump quipped.
"But you never stood on this debate stage and said, 'It worked great in Canada and Scotland, we should do it here'?" Cruz pressed.
"No, I did not," Trump replied
The fact is, as Trump told CBS' Scott Pelley in a "60 Minutes" interview, while claiming he would repeal ObamaCare and replace it with - wait for it, government-paid universal health care:
Scott Pelley: Universal health care?
Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now.
Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of how?
Donald Trump: They're going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably--
Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?
Donald Trump: --the government's gonna pay for it....

How come noone asks Ted Cruz this question. I guess he’d let them die in the streets.
Well because words matter..... How do you know what he believes, listen to his words, and read his words....
I have found no evidence that he is this great dyed in the wool conservative. To think this you would have to stop researching him beyond 9 months ago.
To me he is just a liberal reality tv show star from New York, who is playing a conservative to win the Republican nomination TV show.
Then there is the inevitable failure point when anything is centralized at that big of a scale. Quality of care goes down, corruption and unaccountability come in, etc. If "failure" is measured by reduction in standard of care, all efforts using government coercion and centralization will result in failure.
Even a split in the TX. hurts Cruz, Trump gets proportional votes virtually the same out of the total 155 delegates.
Trump is winning in almost all the Super Tuesday states.
By the end of the day there will be no way anyone catches him.
Its a fantasy that there will be a brokered convention in this day of social media, internet news, blogs like FR.

Does it really matter to Trump’s cult if Ted proved positively that Banana Don is a brazen liar? No. This liar will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Right.

Imho, I think Trump is claiming he is worth more than he reported and that is why the IRS is investigating. If one claims to have 10 billion dollars, and you only have a billion on your tax forms they want to know about the discrepancy.
I while filing my Fafsa forms last year, I made the mistake of adding the zeros for the cents. However the form already has that, so I told them I had a million dollars. I realized my mistake and fixed, but the flagged my account and wanted proof. So I linked the IRS info over, it was a mess.
If that could happen to me, then Donald claiming one billion on taxes. Then doing his financial disclosure claims ten billion. It probably raises red flags at the IRS. Of course it could also be the IRS out to get republicans so..........
