One of the most amazing abilities Donald Trump has is being able to lie about his own record and get away with it. In an exchange with Sen. Ted Cruz during Thursday’s CNN debate in Houston, Trump was directly challenged on his past documented support for single-payer universal health care, and he lied again. As TheBlaze recorded the exchange:

They seem to expire minute to minute with only the ones his supporters want to hold dear being retained. It doesn't matter if some supporters like one thing he said while the others like the opposite things he said. They are all blissfully happy and hating on all of us who call them on it. strange days indeed.
I see the hit pieces you drive-bys post on FR day and night. I’ve been reading them and following the discussions for months. None of that crap has moved mine, or any other Trump supporter’s needle.
Badgering people to read the output of establishment drones who are bent on swaying the people away from their clear choice for president, has got to be a tough and unrewarding job.

The previous two debates with Trump in his own words is what moved me to be so strongly anti-Trump.

big whoop. Cruz is annoying. Trump said that people won’t die in the streets. I say good. That is a very conservative belief. Unbelievable that Cruz is ok with it. I know he is a jerk but to let people die in the street is beyond contempt. Cruz is a piece of crap.

Those remarks are misleading. Trump said immigrants will come here LEGALLY. Trump has said that dozens of times. Why do you fail to include that piece? There are too many people lying here.

Trump is my guy, but I also wish he’d smooth out the rough edges. He’s far enough ahead now, that he can relax a bit and be more statesman-like. Perhaps.

Correct. We see fellow FReepers taking words and statements out of context, or failing to include the caveats. This is the same as lying. Those liars who do this know it, and should be ashamed or go to work for Hillary.
See my post #96. Cruz in an insider pretending to be an outsider. He is a sitting senator and has spent the vast majority of his adult life working in government. He gets donations from Goldman Sachs, the Club for Growth, and a billionaire hedge fund sugar daddy. The Tapper interview showed us what he really is. He is not an insurgent. He is part of the GOPe who will do anything to stop Trump, the real outsider.
