Cruz Questions Trump's Ties to Mob-Linked
ABC ^ | Feb 28 2016 | ABC

Republican Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz questioned Sunday whether Donald Trump’s business ties to a twice-convicted felon with prior mafia associations, described late last year in an ABC News investigation, could eventually undermine Trump’s chances in a general election contest.

“The important point is, George, in the general election, Hillary Clinton is going to shine a light on all of this,” said Cruz, speaking on "This Week With George Stephanopoulos". “And Republican primary voters deserve to know.”

I wouldn’t trust a politician if he didn’t drink or have mob ties.

Cruz is blowing smoke. There is no proof of mafia ties. Donald Trump Jr. said today that there is no way anyone can prove a mafia connection from an income tax return. By the way, Trumps tax return is 20,000 pages. The IRS will find one mistake and call an audit. I am sure anyone can understand the situation the business world has in regards to tax statements. Cruz is taking advantage of people’s ignorance of that real world situation.

Exactly, back in the 70s and 80s in New York city it was impossible to do construction without making deals with the unions which were infested with the mob. Now I suppose besides calling Trump KKK about a billion times, now they will call him a Mafiosa. Meanwhile Hitlery continues to be coddled and pampered, the only heat she gets is from Trump and whoa! He must be stopped so The Queen can play President.

The Evagelicals have made a Faustian bargain by lining up with Trump. They have made themselves irrelevant in the public square.

First of all, there was never any verification that the “Polish Brigade” were illegals. Here-say knowledge is not proof. These workers were not for the construction of the Trump Towers, but for the demolition of a previous structure. And, the lawsuit was never about illegals.

Second, these workers were non-union. The lawsuit was for money the union members wanted to collect. That money was to be put into their Pension Fund. The Polish Brigade went back to Poland and did not benefit from it one dollar.

The lawsuit was settled almost 20 years after it was brought to court. Trump maintained that the unions should not collect money for non-union workers as if they were union workers.

Do your homework prior to making comments about Cruz. I understand when Trump is attacked (and this time valid) that may be difficult for some

I have to admit, you're right, Jarhead9297.

Guenevere, we shouldn't make comments about either of the eCuban bothers, especially since Teddy is a foreign national.

Or he was, just a short while ago.

That one always confuses me.

Well, we know that Cruz is going to get rid of the IRS, just as soon as he's done using them for dirty political deeds, done dirt cheap... :)

So, Cruz is to be commended for that, well, after the backstabbing, of course...

Cruz is a great prognosticator now, predicting the future actions of his opponents. When accused of an action in the debate he skirts the accusations and repeats his same deflector, “this is the predictable pattern of Trump/dubious (that’s rubio)” and slithers out of the accusations. Watch and listen to his predictable pattern of deflect and accuse. No moderator makes him answer the question. Either they are too dim witted to catch it or they are giving him a pass. Tough to nail the talking heads down. Instructions from the executive offices change according to RNC directives.

For an unscrupulous big time NYC business man, having mob ties wouldnt be a shock.

If everyone else is doing it, it must be all right.

Since a new President will have to deal with tons of unconvicted felons in the government, maybe having that kind of experience is beneficial.

You are such a know-nothing. You’re for the biggest liar in the country who is not even eligible to run. It must feel great to betray the Constitution for your little twerp who sells out American sovereignty and then lies about it!

Dear Ted,

If you’re going to wrap yourself in the mantle of Jesus Christ when you run, you should at least try to hold yourself to a higher standard in the way you run your campaign.

You deliberately put yourself on a pedestal of Christian righteousness. You even preach in our churches as part of your campaign. It is the centerpiece of your appeal.

You should have run the cleanest campaign in this race. Lots of us expected you to.

If you had you would have had a big advantage. But you haven’t.

Are you satisfied with what people see up there on your pedestal?

Kind of a pot/kettle thing. Trump literally has no idea what’s in his own “plans” just that there are a lot of them.
