Jeff Sessions, Leading GOP Senate Voice on Immigration, Endorses Trump
The Wall Street Journal ^ | February 28, 2016 | Arian Campo-Flores

The pledge of support from Mr. Sessions, a popular figure among Alabama Republicans, gives Mr. Trump another boost in the state, one of 11 voting this Tuesday, when 595 delegates are at stake...

Mr. Trump appeared to relish the backing of Mr. Sessions, who strongly opposed the failed immigration-reform measure that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio helped craft in 2013...

“We want strong borders!” Mr. Trump yelled to the crowd. “We want the wall!”

I agree. I honestly think almost every senator and congressman/woman are bought and paid for by special interest groups that do not have yours, mine, and the real US citizen’s interests as top priority. Look at all the crap Clinton, Obama,Holder, Lerner, plus so many others have done with no consequences. Our military has been used for social experiments that have greatly reduced the combat readiness and capabilities of our Armed Forces. I just do not see the type of public servants that I recall in the late 50-60’s who were mostly WWII Vets and cared about this great nation more then their own damn personal wealth. I honestly believe only Trump can/will expose this.

Sadly Jindal is running his mouth for Rubio now. When he speaks of how Rubio’s family worked for the American dream I guess he has no clue that Rubio’s parents worked for Meyer Lansky in Cuba and that is why Marco was in Vegas for 5-6 years. No mention of Marco failing out of college in the midwest or all the thugs/crooks in his immediate past.

My only wish is that I could absolutely believe Trump. So far, I do not, and I do not trust him to follow through on many of the things he's campaigned on.

After a very short history of "conservative conversion", and all the great talking points but no "plans on how to do this", can this really work?!?

If he is the nominee, I will vote against Hillary, but it doesn't bode well to ME at the moment...

Trump's plans are no less detailed than anyone else's. That's just the canard passed around by those who are looking for substance free accusations.

Kind of like the "worship" "blindly follow" and "ignoring his past" nonsense Cruz supporters tell themselves so they can despise those who aren't following THIER guy.

Think of a bitchy, teenage girl and you're on the right track.

I'm not sure Trump would not also "make deals" with the likes of "Clinton, Obama, Holder, Lerner, plus so many others"...

Of course, hopefully NONE of those people will still be around after the next January, but certainly Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and a host of other elected and appointed agency officials will be...

I have to add, this is the most FUBAR slate of POTUS candidates I've ever seen, on BOTH sides, and I've been around a while!

You lose me with the "worship", "blindly follow", etc....

Where is a person with common sense and leadership skills, to be the next POTUS?

I don't see one so far, be it Trump, Cruz, or Rubio, or G-d forbid Hillary or "the Bern"...

Who do you think are the "bitchy teenage girls"? Not ME...but I do wonder about the "low-information voters"...I know quite a few of THOSE people (not YOU!),and it's fairly horrifying to consider how many totally clueless citizens or "eligible" or "whoever" manage to vote, and elect terrible people into important offices.

This is a big endorsement from Sessions. You’d have to figure it would go to Trump or Cruz.

Our borders should be under control for reasons of national security, because it is the law, and for economic reasons - Americans should not have to compete with foreigners on American soil.

I remember a comment made by Milton Friedman about NAFTA. It was around 1200 pages long. He said it doesn’t take 1200 pages to write a free-trade act; it can be done in a couple of sentences. Sill, he was for NAFTA as it was better than what preceded it. Real free trade is mutually enriching.

A problem with most so-called free trade agreements is that they are not free trade - just government managed trade. And here the devil is in the details - hundreds of pages of details.

Another problem is that real free trade leads to winners and losers - and it’s the losers who talk the most. People who gain jobs by exporting seldom speak up. Consumers who benefit from lower prices seldom speak up. People whose jobs are threatened by competition from imports complain and complain and complain. You can see it on FR.

I think there are lots of ways to help the American working class that are a lot better than clamping down on freedom (free-trade).

Surely, you cannot be serious. Anyone who thinks Trump would deal with any of those you listed has serious issues. Most likely a Cruz fan who likes a blue blazer and jeans. What a hell of a sorry dresser for the highest office.
