2016 RAND Presidential Election Panel Survey (Trump Supporters Analyzed)
RAND Corporation ^ | February 29, 2016 | Michael Pollard, Joshua Mendelsohn

Posted on 02/29/2016 2:04:02 PM PST by Arec Barrwin

"Among people likely to vote in the Republican primary, people are 86.5 percent more likely to prefer Donald Trump as the first-choice nominee relative to all the others if they “somewhat” or “strongly agree” that “people like me don't have any say about what the government does.” Using statistical techniques, we can conclude that this increased preference for Trump is over and beyond any preferences based on respondent gender, age, race/ethnicity, employment status, educational attainment, household income, attitudes towards Muslims, attitudes towards illegal immigrants, or attitudes towards Hispanics."

"Trump also beats Cruz among likely primary voters who have liberal positions on economic issues. Trump does better among those who strongly support tax increases for the wealthy (incomes over $200,000) and support labor unions (Figures 4 and 5, respectively), while Cruz does worse."

No prob, I’ve tried to steer clear of the Cruz/Trump food fights here, but believe it or not, there are plenty of Freepers who will vote for either, grateful that it won’t be jeb.

the congress will neither loosen abortion laws nor create single payer healthcare.

Trump will not veto a bill strengthening prolife agenda or ridding us totally of Obamacare

” Trump supporters are not conservatives.”

You are an idiot.

Thank you for playing.

So you think the GOP establishment hates Ted Cruz (much worse than Duh Donald) because he goes along with them?
Do you “think?”
Being a pain in Obama’s, Boehner’s, Ryan’s and McConnell’s asses is a bad thing to you?

Yes, of course, it’s the old Sessions, Shlafley, Palin are now working for James Carville and company defense.

Hogwash!

Actually I suggest you take a look at the posting history around here.

The chief purveyors of hysteric infantile personal attack around here for the last 6 months have been the Cruz team.

I started out supporting Ben Carson. Watching how they treated him was a real eye opener about where the hate and bile actually flows from around here. No one has been more activist in pushing an emotions based hysteric attack mode posting style then Team Cruz.

Something about Primary Election cycle bring out the absolute worst behavior in certain “Religious Conservatives”. It seems they think their “holy mission” allows them to do anything, say anything, as long as it is “for the cause”.

The difference between being Christan, and being Religious, seems to escape them.

Wow, can’t rebut that kind of profound and clever wit.

But then Trumpism IS a newly discovered strain of Alzheimers.

“A Man 75-80% on my side is not my enemy but a valued friend and ally”.

That’s a pretty good quote, no matter what the circumstances.

TRUE THAT!

If it is exhausting for us, I really do not know how the contenders hold up at all, in any case. It is too much.

It does takes either clinical ambition, or great and unbridled patriotism to ever run for president.

I believe TRUMP has no need to groom his ambition, given his age, his pinnacle of achievements, self discipline and financial rewards. It has to be unbridled patriotism.

May God bless us all.

Trump's followers include various positions, at least some very conservative. The question is: Who is best for American. Here is where people hold different opinions. As Falwell stated, what saved the college was in hiring the most competent people and not just those who merely reflected his values.

I am not looking for the perfect candidate or the nicest one or one just like me. Too much damage has been done by Obama. I want somebody who can get things done, create jobs, and stop the invasion of this country.

You need a bigger resume. Trump has that. Ted doesn’t have the experience. And he can be a pain in the ass.
