Trump: 'Everything is negotiable'

Donald Trump on Monday did not refute a report claiming he told The New York Times editorial board in an off-the-record meeting that his immigration views are in fact more flexible than he has made them seem throughout his presidential campaign.

"Everything is negotiable," Trump said Monday on Fox News, responding to a question about whether the report, which undermines Trump's hardline stance on immigration, was accurate.

Congress can still refuse to fund it. They will suddenly get their spine back and say no.

Why? Republicans have solid control of the house. No rat votes required to pass bills there.

Well, another article that has Trump’s own words and the usual line of attack is to make the poster or the source of the article the issue. Typical.

Trump is perfect for them. Because his positions are all over the place and he hasn’t held public office, they can mold him into their perfect candidate. Whatever they are for, Trump must be for. We are asked to ignore all past statements, positions, donations, and just believe all the good things he and they believe he will do once in office. Threatening to sue the press? That’s RESTORING the First Amendment(yes, a freeper made that claim). He’s for the mandate? He really meant a different mandate. Donations to Reid, Shumer,Clinton? He had to do it. Praise for the work Planned Parenthood does? Well, yes, they do good work but just not the abortion part.

Many of us laughed at the Messiah worship BHO supporters did in 2008. Never thought we would be doing it again

So I am left with Donald Trump, who despite all of his warts I do find to be a strong leader who hopefully will lead as promised and deliver on his stated campaign goals.

That's the most honest thing I've seen you write.

I do not have to question my candidate with "hopefully will lead as promised and deliver on his stated campaign goals", my candidate has a solid Conservative record and history.

After four years of a Trump administration I would be willing to bet that little, if any, of that has been accomplished.

GIVE IT UP. "Everything is negotiable" means will sit down and talk and solve the problem. Since Trump is the best at that, the negotiations will work in our favor.

Really? Democrats are not going to cut taxes on high earners. Where does Trump negotiate on that? Democrats are not going to negotiate on Planned Parenthood funding or doing away with Obamacare. Where does Trump go with that? Mexico is not going to agree to pay for the wall. Where does Trump go with that? It takes two to negotiate and when the other side isn't interested then what does Trump do?

I'm tired of living on hope and winding up with disappointment. Trump is not a conservative and I can't vote for him.

I would expect the HEIGHT OF THE WALL to be negotiable.

No problem there.

Read art of the deal. It is his main strategy. Usually gets you what you really want but does freak out your opponents. Next four (eight?) are going to be fun and refreshing.

I disagree. Most people across the political spectrum know that priority number one is saving the US as an independent nation. The wall has already been approved, it's just that those darn backstabbers in DC don't fund it. Common Core will be quite easy to get rid of. Just dropping the mandate on Obamacare....who could vote against that? etc. He starts with the stuff almost everybody wants, then goes from there with a coalition that evolves.

How do any of the others, either party, even begin the process?

You said..
“I’m tired of living on hope and winding up with disappointment. Trump is not a conservative and I can’t vote for him.”

I won’t be , either.

And all those Trumpers who are full of “Hope N Change” joy now will be the most let down should be elected

George Bush claimed to have a great relationship with Democrats to work out deals, too. He did that in Texas. But in DC things were much different.

Fine, you cannot vote for him. Waste your vote on a third party candidate and help usher in Hillary, or maybe you might even vote for Hillary, or some other Democrat. Be sure to remind your children & grandchildren how you refused to stand up and at least try to save your country.

Go back to your GOPe planning location.

BYW, I never said this:

GIVE IT UP. "Everything is negotiable" means will sit down and talk and solve the problem. Since Trump is the best at that, the negotiations will work in our favor.

So why did you include that in your post to me?

Yes, I watched the entire interview.

He said everything’s negotiable, building the wall is NOT negotiable the only thing negotiable about it is the height (or size - don’t remember the exact word).
