Trump has been attacking his fellow Republican candidates for over eight months now. He’s a nasty guy. And this is how he’s supposed to unify support if he becomes the nominee??
Well said.

This is how you win the base. Can’t get the nomination without them.
He is switching to a statesman style persona.
Now that he’s won the south, has the media and the establishment politicians on a leash, and all but locked up the nomination, you’ll see him began to campaign against Hillary, and soon even Cruz will endorse him. Prepare yourself, it’s coming.
Timing is everything in politics child.
The Post Primary election speech is not the time for a nasty hysteric personal attack speech. It a time to build bridges and attact people to your side. Cruz did not only fail, he ephically failed tonight. He did nothing tonight that does anything to build any brides. Totally stupid poltical tatics. It why Cruz is losing states he should be winning.
But then I gave warned all your Cruz supporters 5 months ago that Team Cruz sort of “Scorched Earth” personal attack tactics were going to sink your guy and NONE Of you children on Team Cruz would listen.
Sad to see being repeatedly defeated has not made any of your grow wiser.
Exactly. I've seen so many posts here bashing Cruz's speech this evening. How dare he be mean in his speech? How dare he not accept Trump's olive branch? Waaaaahhhh! Trump has called Cruz the biggest liar he ever met and has called him a "nasty guy" repeatedly. Fine. But the Donald and his supporters shouldn't then be surprised that Cruz doesn't feel like bending over and taking it this evening. Trump set the civility bar from day one in this election; Cruz is just climbing down there to meet him.
