Pat Caddell: Establishment Can't Stop Trump's Populist Candidacy Because They Can't (Short)
Breitbart.com ^ | March 1, 2016 | Rebecca Mansour

Veteran pollster Pat Caddell thinks the nation is at “the tipping point” of political “revolution” in the 2016 election because the Washington establishment doesn’t understand the legitimate concerns motivating ordinary Americans. Caddell believes the establishment “empire is trying to strike back” against the populist movement challenging their power, but the American people have “left the building.”

“You would think all these establishment elites would recognize a revolution when they see one - they are the same radicals who turned out the existing establishment in the 1960s.”

The boomers were arrogant then and they’re arrogant now. Boomers as a generation just get under my skin. I know many fine people who are boomers however.

Of course we could just call him an “American” and that would work.

It's going to be a good night for Americans.

You would think all these establishment elites would recognize a revolution when they see one ...

They might better recognize the revolution if their characterization of the 'revolutionaries' (that's us) could progress past the "angry, stupid, racist gun nuts" caricature.

It’s been a while, but wasn’t Caddell a Lefty adviser?

Caddell was Jimmeh's pollster. But he escaped the reservation during the Clinton administration.

Caddell stated he is a Democrat. However, he is committed to telling the truth. I enjoy listening to him.

Yes multiple times. Makes no difference. GOP wants Trump beaten by Democrats unless he drops out.

That’s right. Caddell left the liberal-Carter camp a long time ago. He has been an voice of reason for some time, although he may nominally still be a democrat.

What Caddell is talking about is this:

"In political philosophy, the phrase consent of the governed refers to the idea that a government's legitimacy and moral right to use state power is only justified and legal when consented to by the people or society over which that political power is exercised."

The fig leaf of "consent" is being removed from the "ruling class". There has been an anger simmering in the US body politic for some time. It was alleviated somewhat in the early 2000s, but in 2010 and 2014 the valve on the pressure cooker started chattering, only to have someone put their thumb on it because they didn't like the noise.
Better the anger be expressed by the election of a pro-American blowhard than the kabuki theater used to justify the continuing self-enrichment of the "ruling class" through the suppression of the American people.
