Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

Trump is a negotiator, he’ll make better back room deals. So be it.

Cruz will not win anything in the Northeast, definitely nothing on the west coast (Or, Wa, Ca) and probably not FL.

So, you tell me what Cruz’s path to victory is? He needed to win the South, but he can’t. He cannot win.

Trump has won.

If Cruz really wants to get something out of 2016 he should drop out now, and become Trumps running mate.

Ted alone can GUARANTEE the White House for himself as Vice President. Trump/Cruz, we win. But no, Ted has to be numero uno top dog. Can’t be VP then run again in 8 years. Nope nope nope.

Exactly, instead of showing a little humility for the good of the nation and securing his support for a future run, he insist on continuing his vanity campaign.

it must keep all its problems strictly to itself, and never let an objective, unbiased outsider see what’s really going on.

Watch Ted Cruz coach his family through a campaign ad shoot

You don’t know Rush and you are not a conservative or you would not have replied like that.

You are nothing more than a foolish liar.

If anyone is NOT part of the GOPe, it is Rush who has defended Trump more than most.

He does not take sides in primaries.

Bull shit.

The GOP would rather have Trump than Cruz.

They distrust Cruz more because he is a true conservative who won’t make deals with the left.

If seeing that video makes you so emotional you call me an idiot, then the problem is in you. I see nothing wrong with the video as it is really a 'behind the scenes' reel (that video is the brief version, there is hours of footage) and only shows that Cruz and family are humans, imperfect, and that what we are usually allowed to see is not reality. This is true about most things we see and hear regardless to whom is the principal subject. Especially when it comes to politics.

I really liked the end where the girls look up at him and laugh.

If you watched that part and didn't laugh, you have no sense of humor (or hate little girls).

: )

Were any of those pro-choice?

You can't call youself a Republican or better yet a conservative with a stance of pro-choice.

Donald Trump backs Planned Parenthood.

Trump PP

I’ll be voting for Cruz in the General - one way or another.

I'll be voting for Trump all the way as Cruz's lifetime of politics with no accomplishments is too much to ignore.

...lifetime of politics with no accomplishments is too much to ignore.

Thanks for your observation but I have a couple of observations of my own.

One thing is absolutely clear Donald Trump is a politician. He may never have been elected to office but he has been deeply involved in the political process. His business practices are absolutely integrated with his political prowess.

Your criticism of Cruz confounds me somewhat. I see this criticism frequently from Trump supporters. On the one hand you say that you want someone who bucks the system in Washington DC but on the other hand you ignore the fact that Ted Cruz has been standing alone, bucking the Washington establishment.

The fact that Cruz has no support in the Senate; the fact that he has no support from the Republican National Committee; the fact that he has no support from mainstream media, these are all indicators that Ted Cruz is far from being a Washington insider.

I respect your opinion, but I think it's myopic.

I guess my main point is that I have no faith whatsoever that these politicians will do anything that they promise.

They are prepared sales people who talk a good game then when they get into office, stab you in the back.

I'm done with them. Fire them all and put us Freepers in charge of the government. We have more common sense in our farts then they have in their brains.

Who called McConnell a “liar”?

Whoever it was is not a Washington DC insider.

Who stood alone in the well fighting against Obamacare? Who’ stood alone in the Senate, filibustering against sequestration?

Whoever it was is not a go along to get along politician. Whoever it was is someone we can count on to fight for conservative causes and fight liberals tooth and nail!

Whoever it was is a principled conservative that we can count on.

I like Trump but I wish he wouldn’t say stuff like this. That visual picture is just gross.

Their all RINO’s, not conservative, who have been if office many years and not done, one thing to slow down abortion or planned parenthood, so the’re worse than Trump and loyalty to these knuckleheads borders on the insane.

So your stance is now "better with the devil you know, than the one you don't?"

So for the record, you are for a democrat, not a conservative?

Might I interest you in DU instead of FR?
