Rubio should know as his Gang of 8 bill would of meant the end of conservatism in the US.

There is no current conservative “movement”, because the leadership doesn’t want to go anywhere. In sports, when the teams lose constantly, the coaches get fired. The players want to win, but the coaches are satisfied being coaches and having big salaries. Time for the players to fire the coaches so they can start winning.

Hopefully, it isn’t worth a plug nickel anyway. You are in fact the poster boy of the modern conservative movement. Which is false advertising anyway, since there is nothing even remotely conservative about it anyway.

‘the end of the modern conservative movement’

If the 2015 congress is the “modern conservative movement” then this sounds like a Trump endorsement to me.

Rubio’s Gang of 8 bill would have meant the end of the country.

Rubio, no, it means the end of the GOPe strangle hold over the GOP party.

This race isn’t about conservatism as much as it’s about saving our country from being entirely stolen by the globalists,

Rubio: “the party will never “call for us to get behind him. They know the nomination of Donald Trump means the end of the modern conservative movement and the end of the modern Republican Party in a very devastating way.””

Rubio, the Gang of Eight, Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton and the Republican establishment appear to be the future of the conservative movement according to Rubio.

Does anyone else notice how Rubio never mentions his long time sponsor, Jeb Bush, as his major influence?

Instead, Rubio, he always claims it was Ronald Reagan.

I don’t know what the ‘modern’ conservative movement is. Compassionate conservatism? NEOCONs?

Conservatism IS. It’s not a modern anything.

He makes it sound like that would be a bad thing.

Back in the 1950’s, Republicans who embraced the New Deal and welfare state socialism called themselves “Modern Republicans.” The “modern conservative movement,” whose members join outfits like the Gang of Eight, sounds like the 21st century equivalent.

I think unprecedented control of the House and Senate by supposedly Conservatives we put in office that produced EVERYTHING Obama wanted Fast-Tracked is what has KILLED the party.

Ted Cruz and Rubio voted for Fast Tracking the TPP. ‘Nuff said.

I was a Cruz supporter (being from Texas) but found myself time after time calling his office about for example increasing the H1B Visa - he was FOR it.

I have friends who have a CS degree and 20 years experience that no longer have jobs (for 2+years) because they got replaced by H1B Visa workers that are paid 20k/yr. After they stay here a couple of years, the company flushes them and hires more. It’s a revolving door. MANY companies are doing this all over the USA.

They replaced the DISNEY IT workers this way.

If by “modern conservative” he means crony capitalists who don’t give a crap about the middle class, then all I can say is “Amen”!

Joe Kernan from CNBC said this about listening to Rubio on Tuesday night after Super Tuesday election...

Kernan declared Rubio’s message to be a “weird alternate universe” and likened it to former Iraqi spokesman Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, also known as “Baghdad Bob,” who made incredible statements about the Iraqi military’s performance during the 2003 invasion despite the facts on the ground being otherwise.

“Where did Alice go?” Kernan said. “Down a rabbit hole or something? This is some weird alternate universe.

The other thing that struck me last night, did you watch Rubio’s victory speech? I was watching it, and it was like, where have I seen this before?  The only guy I could come up with was Baghdad Bob. It was like: ‘We have the Americans on the run. They’re at our gates, but they’re headed the other way. We’ve been working on this strategy and it’s working.’

It was like, what are you talking about? What world are you in?”

Is Marco having some kind of a breakdown? He is flying off in different directions--all of course, including insult & disparagement for Donald Trump, but not on any rational analysis.

He reminds one of the way that Glen Beck has been acting, since Sarah Palin endorsed Trump.

Having been in the fight for Conservative values for over a decade before the Goldwater campaign, I will affirm that the Conservative cause since Trump began the present effort, is looking more hopeful than at any time in the past quarter century.
