Michael Steele Dumbfounded By Romney Speech:"I Don't Know Who They Think This Is Going To Influence"
RCP ^ | Tim Hains

2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney will be delivering a major speech Thursday denouncing Donald Trump.

FORMER RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE: I don't know why they think this is going to work in the first place. I don't know who they think this is going to influence.

Keep in mind, Mitt Romney lost 3 million Republicans, who didn't even bother to show up and vote for him because they did not support his campaign.

I think this is the first time I have agreed with a post of yours in this race but that is quite precisely correct. Romney is an ultimate evil. His opposition to Trump is a magnificent foundation for conservatives to consider Trump. If Trump were not somewhat good, Romney would not attack him.

As usual, the GOP-E refuses to recognize that we hate them at least as much as Trump does and the GOP-E is highlighting our agreements with Trump.

If and when Trump wins, I hope he continues the cleansing of the GOP by organizing opposition and financing in primaries to take out the many, many disgraces in the "Republican" caucuses there. A good start is retaliating against Ryan-o's despicable and false attacks on The Donald as though he were in bed with the Klan. Ryan-o and McConnell and soooooo many others need to be destroyed so spectacularly that none rise in their place to betray us in the future. BTW, whatever my criticisms of The Donald may have been, No one is as thoroughly and despicably liberal and anti-moral as Moral Monster Mitt Romney.

Probably my last post until this evening. I need to leave for medical treatment. If you respond and I don't reply right away, that's why.

Bury that SOB Romney in my absence. I'll add my two cents' worth when I get back. God bless.

My view is:

I can support Trump and trust one billionaire;

Or, I can support any of the remaining GOP candidates and trust numerous billionaires who are behind the scenes.

Maybe we’ll get to take Hillary to the bathroom and beat the snot out of her for her lunch money as someone once posted could be done to “socialize” his home-schooled kids when they were not to be beaten up by gummint skewel thugs.

Either way, you’re voting for a billionaire.

Yup. One billionaire who tells you what his agenda is vs. numerous billionaires in the shadows that are bribing all the other candidates.

Yes, I cannot believe that GOPe think it’s correct to support the illegal activity of Hispanics crossing the boarder just to try to get their support all the while making law abiding Americans take a back seat. The GOPe did not learn from the last presidential election where Americans stayed home in large numbers.

I dunno-—Miley Cyrus’s words were a pretty strong endorsement of Trump.

Multiple Mitts: Romney on the Issues
Is potential presidential candidate Mitt Romney too two-faced for voters?

Making a Disaster National: Massachusetts' RomneyCare v. ObamaCare
All of the key features in the Obama-care national health care plan were in Massachusetts Romney-care plan, although a few of the numbers were slightly different.

Mitt Romney's Magic Act: Creating the Illusion RomneyCare Is Different from ObamaCare
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won the Southern Republican Leadership Conference Presidential Poll April 10, defeating Rep. Ron Paul by a single vote, 438-437 despite signing into law a Massachusetts health care reform law almost identical to Obama's agenda.

If you had told me 6 years ago that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney would be making a speech in the middle of a campaign season to attack the delegate leader and winner of many state primaries, I would have cheered, as that would mean that someone of the caliber of Tom Tancredo or Ted Cruz was winning.

Instead, a speech against Donald Trump?

I mean, really? The guy from New York who makes some pretty entertaining (scripted) reality TV shows?

If you had told me that this speech would unify the Republican party, I’d groan and guess that it was to get behind Jeb.

But I think this will be the end result; the guy we so enthusiastically pinched our noses and voted for is going to unify the party, one way or another.

It is a campaign season of record attendance at primaries, and appears to really just getting started. Wonder if the GOPe will next tap Al Gore or Jimmy Carter to lecture us next?

Donald is NEGOTIATING...

Promising you the world... and he will cut away everything except for the part where ‘the government is going to pay for it.’

Have you heard that Planned Parenthood does good things... Donald will be happy to pay for those good things.

Mitts’ speech is the greatest endorsement Trump could get!

You win the thread prize.

These corrupt AHs still don't get it. This jackball Romney couldn't even win against a traitor like Obama.

Who do you suppose the “General Sherman” is behind the GOPe scorched earth campaign?

You mean who ordered Burnside Romney to leap into the Crater?

Could it be these guys?

Is that really the limit of your intellect...to think the people are as bigoted as you are? Wow, now that is really a special kind of stupid...

I did vote for Romney.

I also heard several evangelicals that would not vote for a Mormon. That seems to be unwarranted, but they feel about Mormonism about the same way I feel about Islam.

I think calling me a bigot and stupid is unwarranted.
Why don't you contribute to the discussion instead of name calling? -Tom
