Yes, Rush has become predictable and boring. Corrupted by his long-standing success. Abandoning his once high standard of honesty. His show has become an exercise in vanity and self-promotion. And he thinks his audience hasn’t noticed? Or maybe he doesn’t care.
Ask yourself: what is it he so dislikes about Trump? I believe he resents Trump’s broad appeal capturing a large segment of Rush’s audience. Rush is losing some control here and he doesn’t like it.
He’s also blinded by his own vanity and has really no idea who Trump is. This was made clear when he assumed Trump would likely abandon the Veteran’s event to take part in the Iowa debate at the last minute. Did he assume Trump is that callous and cynical as to let masses of people down? Yes. Because that is the only world Rush understands.
This election cycle has stymied Rush Limbaugh, with one bad call after another. He has hit the glass ceiling of his awareness. He has revealed an immaturity in his character that will either improve or end him.

Why should he have a response? It’s not a requirement to respond to every nutburger that says somehting.

I have never been so bored with my life, that I found it necessary to compare mens equipment....however....that being said, I vividly recall a Mass Casualty exercise at Pendleton, and one of my nurses came running to me to come check one of the casualties for “unexploded Ordnance” by saying “He has a big ole chunk of change in his pocket!”...I asked “Where ya from, Marine?” He says “Texas, Maam”...I told the nurse all was well—it may be unexploded ordnance, but is in safe mode for the moment LOL ;-)

I agree. But G. Beck went way over the line and is closely associated with T. Cruz. Besides, the media went hysterical over Trump not responding QUICKLY enough even though he had responded.

Trump was embarrassing. He was flailing about and couldn’t shut up and wait his turn. Childish because the moderators were giving him multiple chances to reply but he just couldn’t wait.
I want a transcript of every word Trump said. I think he just repeated ‘people love me’ over and over.
Cruz never once interrupted another candidate. That is the way grownups debate. Rubio was off the rails a little but Trump was so far off the rails, his dining car was lying in the bushes.
That was perfect when Ted Cruz spoke to the people of Detroit and pointed out how liberals had ruined a once great city.
It was particularly fitting because Trump had just whined that he had to hire illegals because ‘Americans’ won’t take low level jobs.
Then Cruz asked the audience how many had ever worked as a waiter or waitress and there was laughter and almost all hands raised.
Most Americans do start at some low level job, especially as teens. I worked in a dime store.
