If Voting Mattered, They Wouldn't Let You Do It

As Doug Casey summarized so eloquently, the political system in the United States has, like all systems which grow old and large, become moribund and corrupt.

The conventional wisdom holds a decline in voter turnout is a sign of apathy. But it may also be a sign of a renaissance in personal responsibility. It could be people saying, "I won't be fooled again, and I won't lend power to them."

Politics has always been a way of redistributing wealth from those who produce to those who are politically favored. As H.L. Mencken observed, every election amounts to no more than an advance auction on stolen goods, a process few would support if they saw its true nature.

Protesters in the 1960s had their flaws, but they were quite correct when they said, "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem." If politics is the problem, what is the solution? I have an answer that may appeal to you.

The first step in solving the problem is to stop actively encouraging it.

Many Americans have intuitively recognized that government is the problem and have stopped voting. There are at least five reasons many people do not vote:

Right with you. I feel that at the federal level, we are given a choice between a communist or a democrat. Pick your poison. Even though my one vote is cancelled by 50 illegal or Acorn votes, I still go and vote because of down ballot positions.

Here is one more for your list:

Cruz and Rubio are not natural born citizens and the Republican party is silent.

That musket hanging over the mantle looks more relevant all the time.

I believe millions of American’s agree with you as in the last 3 months firearm background checks continue to break all time records. I am proud to say I contributed to this total in January and February of this year. The political class, chattering class, and the banking cartel may reap the whirlwind should they go against the will of the people this year. Many people in my area of middle of nowhere Idaho are not mad they are pissed off and ready to go to the cartridge box as they believe the ballot box no longer works. My wife and I pray it does not come to this, but we both believe we are approaching an 1860 solution to our problems.

The problem with voter fraud is that everybody knows it is going on, yet NOBODY will do a damn thing about it. And, as usual, we the people get BOHICA.

What’s the answer? There is no answer so long as the current crop of liars, thieves and perverts control the power. Nothing short of a complete cleansing of Congress will change what happens.

Cantorize Ryan. Impeach McConnell. Find dirt on your representatives and use it.

“The problem with voter fraud is that everybody knows it is going on, yet NOBODY will do a damn thing about it.”

Get involved! Get involved in one or the other Uniparty’s in your county so you can become involved in the elections process. Become an election clerk, or better yet, an elections judge, then after the polls have closed, do a random audit of the ballots. Hand a count a portion of the ballots to ensure they agree with the tabulated outcome. If not, demand they are ALL recounted by hand. If a citizen at every polling place around the country did this, we would make a huge dent in voter fraud. It wouldn’t end it, but it would be a step in the right direction. Becoming a poll worker is one place where we can make a difference! Get involved!!!

Click on zerosenseblog? Are you insane?

Instead of the clickbait, what, pray tell, are the blogger’s “five reasons”?

The graphic is worthy of a communist site, not a libertarian site. Although some (not all) libertarians are lunatics.

Been there, done that. Did it for 30 years and it didn’t make a bit of difference. Delaware is truly one party with a dominant Democratic Party and a GOP willing to accept any crumbs thrown their way.

As recently as 1960, it was a GOP state.
